The Mets And White Sox Should Workout A Mega Blockbuster Trade For Chris Sale
Posted by hunterstokes21

The Mets have enough young Starting Pitching talent to acquire Chris Sale. I have gone one step further in propoisng them to add Adam Eaton, Todd Frazier and David Robertson as well. The Mets would not be signing Yoenis Cespedes under this potential deal.

The New York Mets could use a healthy ace pitcher, natural CF, 3B to move David Wright over to 1B, while the White Sox could stand to replenish their squad with a nice lift of young Starting Pitchers.
The Proposed Idea for a Trade:
To the Mets:
SP – Chris Sale
OF – Adam Eaton
3B – Todd Frazier
RP – David Robertson
To the White Sox
SP – Steven Matz
SP – Robert Gsellman
SP – Seth Lugo
INF – Wilmer Flores
1B – Dominic Smith (Minors)
1B – Lucas Duda
CF – Juan Lagares

MLB Daily Fantasy Picks (DFS) For FanDuel – 5/15/16
Posted by hunterstokes21
Hunter Stokes (Chief Writer/Part Owner)
Sunday is always a crapshoot with everything involved, so make sure you check your starting lineups, weather and backup Catcher roles.
The game I am keying on more than others today is the game at Camden Yards. With contests in Coors Field, Chase Field and Miller Park also featuring on massive hitter friendly venues, I will be playing a roster on all of them.
The Tigers are still criminally underpriced on FanDuel right now, as their losing streak has a ton more to do with their horrific Late Inning Relief of late.
I am waiting for Justin Upton to start cracking the ball, and will play him on a roster for 2 – 3 weeks once he starts rolling. He is a type of guy who will bash 10 HRs in a month at least once in a baseball year.
In the same game, I am running with Jonathan Schoop, who clubbed 2 jacks Saturday – and could easily go yard again on Sunday.
Adam Jones is also on fire – after early season struggles, and is a nice bargain at $2800. Manny Machado took a goose egg for FPP – and I simply can’t think he will do this two games in a row.
Tentatively, I also have put Nolan Reimold into the lineup, should he not be played, I am going to use Yasiel Puig on a wildcard throw out there at $2400.
I would have loved to have implored the Jays lineup – however they were all way out of whack for the price – so I am only going to use Troy Tulowitzki.
The Tigers are facing Kevin Gausman, yet have several hitters that just lace fastballs.
As for my pitcher – I am going with Masahiro Tanaka. The White Sox have guys that whiff in their lineup something fierce, and I like Tanaka over Miguel Gonzalez in this matchup.
MAY 15, 2016…All Day Slate – Camden Heavy
P – Masahiro Tanaka, CWS @ NYY, $9800
C – Victor Martinez. DET @ BAL, $3500
1B – Miguel Cabrera. DET @ BAL, $3700
2B – Jonathan Schoop. DET @ BAL, $2800
3B – Manny Machado, DET @ BAL, $4200
SS – Troy Tulowitzki, TOR @ TEX, $2800
OF – Justin Upton, DET @ BAL, $2900
OF – Adam Jones, DET @ BAL, $2800
OF – Nolan Reimold, DET @ BAL, $2600 (Or Yasiel Puig, STL @ LAD, $2400, vs Mike Leake)
$35, 000, 000 ($0 Left)
2nd Sample Lineup – Coors Field Stack
P – Danny Duffy, ATL @ KC, $6800
C – Victor Martinez, DET @ BAL, $3500 or Buster Posey SF @ ARI, $3400
1B – Lucas Duda, NYM @ COL, $3800
2B – Neil Walker, NYM @ COL, $3500
3B – Danny Valencia, OAK @ TB, $2400
SS – Marcus Semien, OAK @ TB $2200
OF – Yoenis Cespedes, NYM @ COL, $5000
OF – Curtis Granderson, NYM @ COL, $3700

Odds To Win The Overall Homer Crown In 2016 MLB Baseball: Battle Of The Big Fly’s
Posted by Jonathan Hacohen

Stanton has light tower power – and should lead the NL and MLB in Homers if he can remain healthy for a whole year. In just 74 Games Played last campaign, the big slugger belted 27 HRs. The problem is always staying on the field. There is no reason to think he can’t crack 50+ HRs if he played a full season. To aid his efforts as the biggest favorite to win this years MLB Homer crown – is that Marlins Park is bringing in the fences and also lowering them.

I am flat-out wondering why these guys failed to include Chris Carter on this list? For a prolific Home Run Hitter over the last 3 years (90 bombs), this guy is getting no respect.
I mean they have Corey Seager, Matt Adams and Freddie Freeman at the +20000 clip, but no word for a guy who finished 2nd in 2014 MLB Homers?
Carter is headed to the best home run park in the Major Leagues in Milwaukee, and will not be on a competitive club, where his AB may be in question. Sure the guy might fan 250 times in 600 AB this season, but he may crack 40 taters for all we know.
I have requested this gambling website send me the odd for Carter (you can request a player that wasn’t listed), and I will get back to you shortly.
Let me start by saying that if Giancarlo Stanton remains healthy for a full year that he should definitely lead the Majors in longballs. Despite us predicting him to do this, his odd only is listed as our #5 value best bet on the board. Read the rest of this entry →

New York Mets Payroll In 2016 + Contracts Going Forward

So you are the New York Mets, and you have just lost the World Series, what is next? First off, you have several Free Agents walking out the door that you may not be able to re-sign. Most notably Yoenis Cespedes and Daniel Murphy.
Forget about the postseason in which the man was banged up, Cespedes was one of the biggest reasons you even made it to the playoffs to begin with. The Mets should try to sign him.
Daniel Murphy carried you through two rounds of the postseason – but looked horrible in the field during the World Series. So what is the prognosis on his status with the club? Let him walk… His playoff numbers, coupled with a high need for second baseman in the Majors may well skyrocket his next deal.
At first glance though, this is not the end of the world for the Wilpon led New York franchise. The entire Starting Staff could be composed of team controllable salaries. Bartolo Colon is a Free Agent now too, but maybe he would sign a small guaranteed contract with incentives. Read the rest of this entry →

Who Owns October and Who Owns the 2015 World Series (#WOO and #WOWS) Tallies Updated For November 1, 2015
Posted by Paul Francis Sullivan
The Royals earned their crown as 3 of their 4 World Series wins were won in the 8th or later.
What a strange ending.
Now comes for the final entry of Who Owns October and Who Owns the World Series.
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO (Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
But the World Series deserves its own stats. WOWS (Who Owns the World Series.)
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter. The WOWS total will be kept separately. Each game now counts towards both tallies.
A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.
From November 1st, World Series Game 4:
Receiving 1 WOO’s and WOWS
Luke Hochevar gave the Royals 2 critical shutout innings in the 10th and the 11th where a single Mets run would have forced a game 6. He allowed no hits and walked just 1 and earned the World Series clinching victory in relief for Kansas City, 7-2.
Eric Hosmer broke the Mets shutout with a double in the 9th and dashed home to score the tying run on a wild play with 2 outs in the 9th.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s and WOWS
Curtis Granderson led off the game with a homer and later scored on a sacrifice fly. In the end, the Mets would collapse in the 9th and lose in the 12th to the Royals, 7-2.
Matt Harvey took a World Series saving shutout into the 9th inning, striking out 9 along the way. He finished with 8 plus innings, 5 hits, 2 runs and 2 walks but would get a heart breaking no decision as the Royals rallied to beat the Mets in 12 innings, 7-2.

Who Owns October and Who Owns the 2015 World Series (#WOO and #WOWS) Tallies Updated For October 31, 2015
Posted by Paul Francis Sullivan
Trick for the Mets! Treat for the Royals! It is Halloween Baseball!
We have ourselves a World Series.
And now the Sully Metrics of October get a little more complicated.
I will continue to figure out Who Owns October.Time to figure out who owns October!
From October 31st, World Series Game 4:
Receiving 1 WOO’s and WOWS
Wade Davis continued his post season dominance with 2 shutout innings (plus an at bat) to shut down the Mets and earn the save in Kansas City’s 5-3 win.
Salvador Perez went 3 for 4 with a double, scored in the 5th and drove in a critical insurance run in the 8th to lead Kansas City to a stunning 5-3 win over the Mets.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s and WOWS
Michael Conforto launched a pair of homers that put the Mets ahead. But the bullpen and defense would conspire against him as the Mets lost to the Royals, 5-3.

I made my predictions before the LCS games and gave my thoughts afterwards. I feel badly for Cub fans, elated for Met fans and happy that we have playoff baseball this weekend.
We are almost at the third anniversary for this episode of The Sully Baseball Daily Podcast!
Lucas Duda, Marco Estrada, Troy Tulowitzki, Steven Matz, Salvador Perez and Jorge Soler all added to their totals of Who Owned October.

Who Owns October In MLB Playoffs 2015? (#WOO) Tallies Updated For October 21, 2015
Posted by Paul Francis Sullivan
One LCS is done and the other will see another day.
Time to figure out who owns October!
Each winning team for every post season game gets a pitcher and a hitter who earn a full WOO (Who Owns October.)
And at my discretion, I award a 1/2 WOO’S to a worthy player on the losing team.
At the end of the post season, we will see who had the highest WOO total as a pitcher and a hitter.
A complete description of the rules can be found HERE.
From October 21st.
ALCS Game 5 and NLCS Game 4:
Receiving 1 WOO’s
Lucas Duda homered and doubled twice, driving in 5 and putting the Cubs on their heels from the start and set up the Mets 8-3 pennant clincher against the Cubs.
Marco Estrada kept the Royals off the board until the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, 3 hits, 1 run and 1 walk and kept the Blue Jays alive with a 7-1 victory over Kansas City.
Steven Matz kept the Cubs off the board early while the Mets put together a big lead. He did not get the decision but he set up the Mets 8-3 win.
Troy Tulowitzki went 2 for 4 with a bases clearing double that propelled the Blue Jays past the Royals, 7-1.
Receiving 1/2 WOO’s
Salvador Perez homered to provide one of the few Royals highlights in their 7-1 loss to Toronto.
Jorge Soler singled and doubled twice, scoring 2 runs. But it was not enough as the Cubs lost 8-3 to the Mets.

The Mets Should Do Whatever It Takes To Sign Yoenis Cespedes This Winter
Posted by Jonathan Hacohen

Yoenis Cespedes is a superstar player that has shown he loves the New York spotlight. With some progressive thinking, and a great amount of their young pitching superstars under team control for several years, the Mets have the wherewithal to sign the big Cuban OF. It is my idea that they outbid everyone to sign him, and then trade Curtis Granderson to create enough room in the OF, so that he can move over to a permanent spot in RF at Flushing Meadows, NY.

There are few players deserving of 100 Million Dollar Plus contracts in the game of baseball right now. Yoenis Cespedes has played himself into consideration for this honor with his second half of play.
Vastly underrated, and a main cog in the A’s renaissance from the time he was there, he has done the same thing in Flushing Meadows.
The Mets are a different kettle of fish with the Big Man in their lineup.
How do you like a .287/.337/.604 3 Slash line with 31 Extra Base Hits and 44 RBI in 57 Games Played with the Mets? Before you think this is just a blip on the radar, the man averages over 70 Extra Base Hits – with 30 HRs and 103 RBI over his 162 Game average for his career thus far. Read the rest of this entry →

Max Scherzer threw his second no hitter of the season, walking none and striking out 17 Mets along the way for the 2-0 Washington final.
Corey Kluber struck out 9 over 8 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 walks and earning the 2-0 decision for the Indians over Boston.
Christian Yelich had a terrific double header. In all he went reached base nine times, going 5-5 in one game and 3 for 4 with a walk in the other, combining for 3 runs scored and 2 RBI as the Marlins beat the Phillies twice, 7-6 and 5-2.
Colby Rasmus homered twice and added a single to lead the Astros closer to a playoff spot, 6-2 over the Diamondbacks.
They all owned baseball on October 3, 2015
Earning 1/2 WOBs on losing efforts.
Noah Syndergaard allowed 2 hits and 1 run and 1 walk while striking out 10 Washington batters. But the Mets were no hit, 2-0.
Marco Estrada pitched into the 7th, finishing with 6 2/3 innings, striking out 9 while giving up 3 hits and walking none. He would get a no decision as the Blue Jays lost to Tampa Bay 4-3.
Paul Goldschmidt reached base 3 times and homered in the Diamondbacks 6-2 loss to the Astros.
Josh Hamilton‘s two homers off the Angels (on their dime) was almost the greatest middle finger in recent years. Unfortunately for him, the Angels made a dramatic rally in the 9th inning to put the Division Clinching on hold and beat the Rangers 11-10.
