Earning Full WOBs:

Jack Flaherty threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits while striking out 6 as the Cardinals clinched, blanking the Cubs, 9-0.

Paul Goldschmidt reached base 4 times, with a homer, powering the Cardinals to the NL Central title by pounding the Cubs, 9-0.

Lance Lynn pitched into the 8th, striking out 10 Yankees over 7 1/3 innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 run for the Rangers 6-1 victory.

George Springer went 4 for 4 with a homer, driving in 2 and scoring 3, as the Astros finished the season topping the Angels, 8-5.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Brad Miller homered twice and added 2 more hits but the Phillies were edged by Miami, 4-3.

Martín Pérez pitched into the 6th, throwing 5 2/3 innings, allowing 3 hits. The Twins bullpen would blow the lead and the 5-4 game in Kansas City.

Mike Thaiss went 3 for 4 with 2 homers but the Angels dropped the 8-5 game to Houston.

Trevor Williams held the Reds to 2 runs over 7 innings but took the hard luck 3-1 decision for Pittsburgh.

Reynaldo López struck out 9 Tigers in 8 innings, earning the 7-1 decision for the White Sox.

Hyun-Jin Ryu threw 7 shutout innings, clinching the ERA title, as the Dodgers blanked the Giants, 2-0.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Marco Gonzales threw 7 innings, allowing 1 run but the Mariners were shut out by Oakland, 1-0.

Jordan Luplow homered twice and walked twice but the Indians were out slugged by the Nationals, 10-7.

Luis Urías got 3 hits, including a homer, but the Padres fell short against the Diamondbacks, 6-5.

Logan Webb held the Dodgers to 2 runs in 6 innings but took the hard luck 2-0 loss for San Francisco.

Austin Voth held the Indians to 2 hits, no walks and 5 strikeouts over 6 innings as the Nationals prevailed 8-2 and eliminated Cleveland.

Asher Wojciechowski tossed 6 shutout innings, striking out 6 Red Sox to earn the 4-1 decision for Baltimore.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Mike Fiers gave Oakland 5 solid innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 4. The playoff bound A’s dropped the 4-3 game to Seattle in the 9th.

Teoscar Hernández reached base 3 times, including a homer, but the Rays topped the Blue Jays, 6-2.

Keston Hiura went 4 for 4 in the Brewers 11-7 loss in Colorado.

Dakota Hudson struck out 10 Cubs over 5 scoreless innings. He did no fare in the decision as the Cardinals were crushed 8-2.

Jordan Yamamoto struck out 10 Mets over 6 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, setting up Miami’s 4-2 come from behind victory.

Aristedes Aquino homered and added 2 more hits but the Reds could not stop the scorching hot Brewers, 5-3.

Félix Hernández overcame a shaky start to pitch into the 6th and give Seattle fans one last thrill in the 3-1 loss to the A’s.

Josh Reddick collected 5 hits in the Astros 4-3 extra inning defeat by the Angels.

Zack Wheeler pitched 8 strong innings, striking out 10 Marlins along the way. But he allowed critical home runs late and took the hard lick 4-2 decision for the Mets.

Zack Greinke was 2 outs away from completing a no hitter. He settled for 8 1/3 innings of 2 hit scoreless ball, striking out 9 as the Astros blanked the Mariners, 3-0.

Joc Pederson reached base 4 times, including a pair of homers, to power the Dodgers to a 6-4 victory in San Diego.

Rowdy Tellez homered two times in the Blue Jays 3-2 win over Baltimore.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

J. A. Happ came into the game in the second and gave the Yankees 5 innings, allowing 1 run and struck out 6 Rays. Morton and Tampa pulled off the 4-0 shutout.

José Martínez got 3 hits and drove in 2 but the Cardinals dropped the 9-7 game in Arizona.

Franmil Reyes got 3 hits and scored twice but the Indians lost the 8-3 game to the White Sox and were eliminated in the Division race.

Gerrit Cole fanned 14 Mariners over 7 shutout innings to set the single season strikeout mark in Astros history and earned the 3-0 decision.

Michael Conforto homered twice, including a game winning shot in the 8th, to help the Mets keep their slim playoff hopes alive beating the Marlins 5-4 in extra innings.

Mike Leake held St. Louis to 1 run over 6 innings. He was long gone from the game when the Diamondbacks walked off 3-2 in 19 innings.

José Ramírez continued his playoff tune up by smacking a pair of homers, driving in 7, to help the Indians blank the White Sox, 11-0.

 

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Elvis Andrus reached base 4 times, driving in 2 and scoring 2 runs but the Rangers dropped the 12-10 slug fest with Boston.

Jack Flaherty took a no hitter into the 7th and finished with 7 innings of 1 hit, shutout ball, striking out 11 Diamondbacks. The Cardinals bullpen blew the lead in the 9th and the game went on for a crazy 19 innings before Arizona walked off, 3-2.

Spencer Turnbull held the Twins to 2 runs over 6 innings but took the hard luck 4-2 decision for Detroit.

Jorge Alfaro hit 2 homers, including a grand slam, driving in 5 for the 8-4 Marlins victory that essentially sunk the Mets playoff hopes.

Ji-Man Choi homered and doubled in the Rays 7-4, come from behind victory over Boston.

Patrick Corbin allowed 1 run over 6 innings as the Nationals topped the fading Phillies, 7-2.

Colin Poche came into the game in the 9th and struck out Vazquez and Bogaerts to earn the save and preserve the 7-4 win for Tampa Bay over Boston.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Nick Ahmed went 2 for 4 with a homer but the Diamondbacks come back rally fell short in the 9-7 loss to St. Louis.

Kevin Ginkel struck out the side in his only inning of work but the Diamondbacks could not catch St. Louis who took the 9-7 final.

Austin Hays homered twice and added another hit in the wild 15 inning 11-10 slugfest that Baltimore dropped in Toronto.

Evan Phillips threw a pair of shutout innings for the Orioles in the bizarre 11-10 extra inning marathon in Toronto.

Mike Foltynewicz capped off his up and down season with a brilliant 8 inning, 3 hit shutout domination of San Francisco and earning the 6-0 decision for the Braves NL East clincher.

Starlin Castro got 3 hits, including a homer, scoring twice, in the Marlins 6-4 loss to Washington.

Mitch Moreland homered twice, including a game tying 2 run shot in the 9th. But Boston dropped the 5-4 final in extra innings.
