Matt Garza held the mighty Cubs to 3 hits and 1 run over 6 innings. He did not get the victory but the Brewers did, 2-1.

Adam Lind reached base 3 times, homering twice including a grand slam to lead the Mariners past Texas, 8-3.

Jonathan Villar provided all of Milwaukee’s offense with a pair of solo homers. But it was enough to beat the Cubs, 2-1.

Elvis Andrus homered and his 3 doubles, scoring 3 and driving in 2 as the Rangers took a 10-7 slugfest in Seattle.

Jeff Samardzija struck out 9 Rockies over 7 strong innings. He did not get a decision but helped set up the Giants much needed 3-2 victory.

Miguel Gonzalez threw 6 1/3 shutout innings as the White Sox blanked the Tigers, 2-0.

Miguel Cabrera homered twice and added 2 more hits as the Tigers continued to keep pace in the Wild Card while beating the White Sox 5-3.

Corey Seager led the Dodgers attack on their former teammate Greinke with 3 hits, including a homer and 3 RBI in the 10-2 torching of Arizona.

Kendall Graveman matched the Boston no hitter attempt with scoreless inning after scoreless inning, going into the 7th and finishing with 6 1/3 shutout frames, striking out 7. While he got a no decision, he set up the A’s 1-0 walk off win.

Domingo Santana went 3 for 5 with 2 homers to help the Brewers pound Pittsburgh, 10-0.

Julio Teheran threw 6 shutout innings, striking out 7 and earning the 2-0 decision for Atlanta over the Phillies.
