Stretching it all out an extra day in this episode of Sully Baseball.

Charlie Blackmon sparked the Rockies into an NL West play in game by hitting for the cycle, driving in 3, in the 12-0 blow out over Washington.

Noah Syndergaard finished a frustrating Mets season with a wonderful complete game 5 hit shutout, blanking the Marlins 1-0.

Jefry Marte reached base 3 times, including a homer and was on base for the walk off homer to end the Angels seasons with a 5-4 win over the A’s.

Roenis Elias allowed 1 hit over 5 shutout innings as the Mariners topped Texas, 3-1.

Another cycle for Christian Yelich?

Why not?

Is hitting for the cycle a once in a lifetime experience? Evidently not for Christian Yelich. In less than a month, he has pulled off the trick twice. BOTH times? Against the Reds. Safe to say he has their number.

With the 8-0 drubbing, the Brewers still have a shot at first place. And it is safe to say Yelich has been a good pick up for the Brewers.

How will the Reds pitch to him tomorrow?

Here is the list, updated for today’s action!

Sully Baseball Podcast: Deceptively Hot Astros and Suddenly Old School Rickey Henderson – September 16, 2018

IMG_0331

While standing on the Stanford campus, and avoiding a creepy guy, I look at the potential 100 win defending World Champion Astros as an unlikely post season underdog.

Plus Rickey Henderson, with the benefit of time, has suddenly become old school and the type of player kids today should emulate.

Finding my spot in this episode of Sully Baseball.

Sully Baseball Podcast – Let’s Give Up On Divisions – September 15, 2018

STO

The Indians will be the worst AL Playoff team… so naturally they are the first team to clinch a division.

The concept of geographical divisions made sense once but are obsolete now. And my concept of playoff seeding would provide a ton of drama in the AL this year.

Making tweaks on this episode of Sully Baseball.

While we are at it, enjoy the NEW In Memoriam video.
