Adrian Gonzalez singled, doubled and homered, driving in 5 to lead the Mets in a 14-2 thrashing of San Diego.

Nick Kingham made his big league debut a memorable one, not allowing a base runner for 6 2/3 innings, finishing with 7 innings of 1 hit ball, striking out 9 Cardinals and earning the 5-0 decision for Pittsburgh.

Ryon Healy homered twice and doubled, knocking in 4 as Seattle beat up Cleveland, 10-4.

CC Sabathia allowed 1 run over 7 tense innings, striking out 4, as the Yankees completed the sweep of the Angels, 2-1.

Lance McCullers Jr. did not allow a base runner until the 6th and finished with 7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball, striking out 7 Oakland batters as the Astros won the 11-0 laugher.

Jose Quintana blanked the Brewers over 7 innings, striking out 7 and earning the 3-0 decision for the Cubs.

Daniel Palka got 4 hits, including a double and a homer, as the White Sox took the opener of their double header in Kansas City, 8-0.

David Peralta hit 2 homers, including a game tying shot, to help the Diamondbacks beat Washington, 4-3.

Matt Davidson hit two homers, including a go ahead shot in the 11th inning, to give the White Sox a 7-4 win over the Royals.

Chris Tillman threw 7 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, striking out 5 Tigers as Baltimore rolled to a 6-0 final.

Jose Peraza collected 4 hits, including 2 homers, to lead the Reds past the Twins in a wild 15-9 slug fest.

Jacob deGrom pitched into the 8th, finishing with 7 1/3 innings, 5 hits and 8 San Diego strikeouts to earn the 5-1 decision for the Mets.

Ronald Acuña Jr. went 3 for 4 including his first career homer to lead the Braves to a 7-4 final over Cincinnati.

Matt Davidson homered twice, driving in 3, in the White Sox 6-3 win in Kansas City.

Ivan Nova threw 8 shutout innings, allowing 6 hits to set up the Pirates 1-0 walk off victory over Detroit.

James Paxton fanned 10 Indians in 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. He did not get the decision but the Mariners took the 5-4 game.

Justin Verlander kept the Angels hitless into the 5th and finished with 7 innings, 4 hits, 2 runs, 9 strikeouts, no walks and a 5-2 decision for the Astros.

Jon Gray struck out 11 Padres over 6 innings of 3 hit shutout ball to earn the 5-2 Colorado victory.

Nicholas Castellanos reached base 5 times, including a homer and 4 RBI in the Tigers 13-10 slug fest Game 1 win over Pittsburgh. He added another hit and RBI in the nightcap which Detroit dropped.

Matt Adams singled, doubled and launched a homer, driving in 6 runs as the Nationals demolished the Giants, 15-2.
