Even when the Red Sox lose, they are interesting.

Patrick Corbin pitched shutout ball into the 8th, finishing with 7 1/3 scoreless innings, 4 hits and 9 strikeouts as the Diamondbacks blanked the Phillies, 6-0.

Brandon Nimmo hit 3 doubles, driving in 3 and scoring 3 in the Mets 8-0 shutout of Cincinnati.

Heath Fillmyer got his first big league win, holding the first place Cubs scoreless over 7 innings allowing 3 hits in the Royals 9-0 win.

Joey Gallo homered twice and added a single to help the Rangers take an 11-7 slugfest from Seattle.

Jameson Taillon went the distance at Coors Field, no easy task. He allowed only 2 runs in 9 innings to earn the 10-2 Pirates decision over Colorado.

Dallas Keuchel allowed 3 hits, 2 walks and 1 run over 6 strong innings. He did not get the win, but Houston did over San Francisco, 2-1.

Manuel Margot singled, tripled and homered, driving in 4 as the Padres beat the Brewers, 11-5.

J. D. Martinez went 3 for 5 including a 3 run go ahead homer in the 8th inning that helped the Red Sox top Toronto, 10-7.

David Peralta got 4 hits including a homer in the game tying 9th inning rally and a walk off shot in the 14th to give the Diamondbacks a dramatic 3-2 win over Philadelphia.

Marwin Gonzalez hit a 2 out, 3 run homer in the 9th to turn a 1-0 Giants lead to a 3-1 Astros victory.

Kyle Freeland threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits as the Rockies blanked the Pirates, 2-0.

Lance Lynn gave the Yankees a much needed boost with 7 1/3 shutout innings, 2 hits and 9 strikeouts, topping the White Sox, 7-0.

Trevor Cahill struck out 10 in 6 innings of shutout ball as the A’s blanked Detroit, 6-0.

Nick Markakis went 4 for 5 with the go ahead 10th inning homer to power the Braves past the Mets, 5-4.

Mark Trumbo homered twice and singled, driving in 5 runs to give the Orioles a rare victory, 9-6 in Texas.
