Clay Buchholz went the distance, throwing 9 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 run while striking out 6 Padres en route to a 5-1 decision for Arizona.
Blake Snell kept the Yankees from scoring over 5 innings, striking out 6 in the Rays 3-1 victory.
Michael Conforto had a productive double header, collecting 6 hits over all in the two games. He singled, doubled and homered in the Mets 24-4 thrashing of the Phillies in Game 1. In the nightcap he singled twice and doubled, driving in 4 as the Mets came up short, 9-6.
Logan Forsythe collected 5 hits, including 2 doubles, as the Twins broke open a close game late and topped Detroit, 15-8.
