 Jose Altuve sparked a wild comeback with a walk and later in the same inning launched a homer, reaching base 4 times altogether in the wild 10-5 Astros win over the Angels.

Trea Turner got on base 3 times,homered and stole a base as the Nationals blanked the Mets, 6-0.

Justin Verlander threw 6 innings of 1 hit, shutout ball, striking out 11 Angels. He did not get the decision but he set up the 10 Houston victory.

Rich Hill struck out 7 Padres in 7 innings, allowing 1 run as the Dodgers held onto their Division Lead with a 7-2 final.

Aaron Nola won a tense pitchers duel and gave the Phillies a much needed 2-0 victory with 8 shutout frames while striking out 9 Washington batters.

David Price continued his terrific second half with 8 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits as the Red Sox blanked the Indians, 7-0.

Javier Baez collected 3 hits, including a massive homer, in the Cubs 7-1 thrashing of the Reds.

Ronny Rodriguez homered and doubled, driving in 2, as the Tigers beat the White Sox, 7-2.

Jon Gray threw 8 strong innings, striking out 8 Brewers and allowing just 4 hits and 1 run. He did not get the decision but Colorado won 5-4 in extra innings.

Trevor Cahill struck out 10 in 6 innings of shutout ball as the A’s blanked Detroit, 6-0.

Nick Markakis went 4 for 5 with the go ahead 10th inning homer to power the Braves past the Mets, 5-4.

Mark Trumbo homered twice and singled, driving in 5 runs to give the Orioles a rare victory, 9-6 in Texas.

Nathan Eovaldi was perfect through the first 6 innings and finished with 7 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, striking out 9 Mets as Tampa Bay rolled, 9-0.

Junior Guerra allowed 1 run over 6 strong innings to lead the first place Brewers over Atlanta, 10-3.

Ryon Healy hit a 2 run doubled and a come from behind 3 run homer that put Seattle up for good against the Rockies, 6-4.

Pablo Sandoval hit a go ahead 3 run homer, collected 2 more hits and drove in 5 altogether as the Giants took the 13-8 slugfest from St. Louis.

Junior Guerra allowed 3 hits and 2 runs over 6 strong innings, striking out 6 Diamondbacks to earn the 7-2 decision for the first place Brewers.

Niko Goodrum homered twice, driving in 5, to help the Tigers sneak back into contention with a 6-3 final over Cleveland.

Brandon Belt singled, doubled and homered, driving in 3 to lead the Giants past Cincinnati, 10-4.

Who Owned Baseball September 20, 2017 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2017 #WOB Standings

Whit Merrifield went 3 for 5 with a homer and 2 RBI as the Royals clobbered Toronto, 15-5.

Gio Gonzalez threw 7 innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 8 Braves to earn the 7-3 decision for the Nationals.

Adam Frazier got a pair of hits including a walk off 2 run homer to lead the Pirates past Milwaukee, 6-4.

Whit Merrifield singled, tripled and homered, driving in 5 in the Royals 14-6 drubbing of the White Sox.

Chris Stratton threw shutout ball into the 7th, striking out 10 Nationals in 6 2/3 innings to earn the 4-2 victory for San Francisco.

Chris Sale struck out 12 Yankees in 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He did not get the decision but set up the Red Sox dramatic 3-2 win in 10 innings.

The franchise had added Veteran  Starting Pitching this year and look as strong as ever to end the 28 year Playoff Drought.  The management and ownership has spent more money than any Royals team in club history.  The will probably battle with the Detroit Tigers all season long for the AL Central Division
