Let’s see owned baseball on June 20, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Austin Barnes singled, doubled and homered, driving in 2 runs as the Dodgers hung on for dear life, defeating the Giants, 9-8.

Matt Chapman got on base 3 times, finishing with a dramatic 2 out 3 run walk off homer to give the A’s a wild 5-4 victory over Tampa Bay.

Frankie Montas struck out 9 Rays over 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and no walks. He did not get the decision but set up the 5-4 A’s walk off win.

Tanner Roark pitched 6 innings, striking out 7 Brewers and walking none as the Reds cruised to a 7-1 final.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Jay Bruce got on base 4 times, including a home run, but the Phillies still lost to the Nationals, 7-4.

Jake Marisnick homered twice and added another hit in the Astros 10-6 loss to the Yankees.

Charlie Morton pitched into the 7th, allowing 1 run and striking out 6. The Rays bullpen would collapse in the 9th, giving Oakland the 5-4 win.

Robbie Ray struck out 9 Rockies in 6 innings, allowing 3 runs. The Diamondbacks would drop the 6-4 game in extra innings.

Tim Beckham reached base 4 times, homered, scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 as the Mariners held on to win the season opener at the Tokyo Dome, 9-7 over the A’s.

Marco Gonzales threw 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs, walking 1 and striking out 4 Oakland batters to earn the 9-7 decision for the Mariners.

Who Owned Baseball August 27, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

Alex Bregman went 4 for 5, driving in 4, with a double and a back breaking 3 run homer to help the Astros take a critical 11-4 game from Oakland.

Anthony Rizzo collected 3 hits, including a homer, driving in a pair to help the red hot Cubs top the Mets, 7-4.

Carlos Rodon allowed 2 hits and 2 runs over 7 innings to give the White Sox a 6-2 win over the Yankees.

Chris Stratton threw 8 shutout innings, striking out 6 and earning the 2-0 decision as San Francisco blanked Arizona.

Matt Chapman reached base 4 times, homered and scored 3 times as the A’s completed the sweep of Texas with a 7-6 final.

Nick Williams homered twice and singled twice in the Phillies 9-4 win over the Reds.

Kyle Gibson held the Red Sox to 4 hits and 1 run over 8 innings as the Twins held on to a 2-1 victory.

Rich Hill threw 7 innings of scoreless ball, striking out 8 Braves, earning the 8-2 decision for the Dodgers.

Cody Bellinger hit for the cycle, driving in 3 runs and helped the red hot Dodgers bounce the Marlins, 7-1.

Matt Chapman got 3 hits including a pair of homers, one that tied the game in the 8th as the A’s walked off 5-3 winners over Cleveland.

Max Scherzer struck out 10 Reds over 6 shutout innings as the Nationals held on to the 10-7 victory.

Cole Hamels threw a shutout into the 8th, going 7 2/3 innings allowing 4 hits and setting up the Rangers 1-0 blanking of the Royals.
