Who Owned Baseball March 31, 2019 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVPs) + 2019 #WOB

Let’s see owned baseball on April 1, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Brandon Belt homered to get the Giants on the board and then hit a 2 run double to put them ahead for good as the beat the Dodgers, 4-2.

David Hess took a no hitter into the 7th and finished with 6 1/3 hitless shutout innings, walking 1 and striking out 8 Blue Jays. The Orioles bullpen would blow the no hitter and the shutout but not the game, which was a 6-5 final.

Kevin Kiermaier hit an RBI double and a 3 run homer as the surging Rays crushed the Rockies, 7-1.

Merrill Kelly threw 6 strong innings, allowing 3 runs while striking out 3 Padres to earn the 10-3 decision for the Diamondbacks.

 

 

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Chris Archer struck out 8 Cardinals over 5 shutout innings. The Pirates bullpen would ultimately lose the 6-5 game in 11.

Randal Grichuk broke up a no hitter with his 7th inning homer and later hit a double in the Blue Jays 6-5 loss to Baltimore.

Colin Moran reached base 4 times, doubled and homered, driving in 3, but it was not enough as the Pirates dropped their home opener to the Cardinals, 6-5.

Ivan Nova held the Indians to 1 run over 7 strong innings, allowing 6 hits and 1 walk. He did not factor into the decision as the White Sox came up short, 5-3.

Who Owned Baseball September 28, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVPs) + 2018 #WOB

Ryan Braun went 3 for 4 with a pair of homers, the second one putting the Brewers over Detroit for good, 6-5.

Mike Foltynewicz made the most of his playoff tune up by allowing 1 hit and 1 run over 5 innings, walking none and striking out 9 Phillies in the Atlanta 10-2 victory.

Mitch Garver singled twice, doubled twice and drove in 6 as the Twins clobbered the White Sox to complete a double header sweep, 12-4.

José Berríos struck out 9 White Sox in 7 innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run to help the Twins win the first game of the double header, 2-1.

Christian Yelich reached base 5 times, including a homer and a double, driving in a pair to help Milwaukee beat Cincinnati, 4-0.

Jack Flaherty took a no hitter into the 6th and finished with 6 innings, 1 hit, 1 run and struck out 10 Dodgers. He did not get the decision but set up the Cardinals 3-1 victory.

Tyler White singled, tripled and homered, driving in a pair giving the Astros a much needed 10-7 win over Seattle.

Thomas Pannone allowed 1 hit over 7 shutout innings to lead the Blue Jays past the Orioles, 6-0.

They all owned baseball on August 22, 2018

Who Owned Baseball June 7, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

José Berríos threw a complete game victory, striking out 10 White Sox while earning the 7-2 decision for Minnesota.

Miles Mikolas allowed 1 run over 7 innings, striking out 5 Marlins and allowing 3 hits in the Cardinals 4-1 win.

Eddie Rosario doubled and homered, driving in 3, in the Twins 7-2 victory over the White Sox.

Joc Pederson homered twice and added another hit to help the Dodgers hang on against the Pirates, 8-7.

Who Owned Baseball May 30, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

Nathan Eovaldi threw 6 innings of no hit ball before being lifted for a reliever. The bullpen blew the no hitter but Tampa Bay blanked Oakland, 6-0.

Max Scherzer struck out 12 Orioles over 8 shutout innings to push Washington into first place with a 2-0 final.

Jorge Soler collected 4 hits, including a homer, driving in 2, as Kansas City held on to take a wild 11-8 game against the Twins.

Matt Kemp doubled and homered, driving in 4 as the Dodgers won against Philadelhia, 8-2.
