Edwin Jackson threw shutout ball into the 8th, finishing with 7 1/3 innings, no runs and 6 strikeouts as the A’s blanked the Angels, 7-0.

Marcus Semien homered twice, added a third hit and drove in 4 to give the A’s a 7-0 beating of the Angels.

Trevor Williams held the Giants scoreless over 7 strong innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 walk to earn the 4-0 decision for the Pirates.

Ryan Zimmerman homered twice, driving in 6, in the Nationals 9-4 win over the Cubs.

Trey Mancini reached base 5 times in the doubleheader night cap, homering and driving in a pair. The Orioles were edged by the Red Sox 6-4.

Walker Buehler threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 6 Rockies. The Dodgers bullpen melted down in the 9th and lost 3-2.
