Who Owned Baseball – May 23, 2019 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVPs) + 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Josh Bell reached base 4 times, including a homer, scoring 3 times and driving in 2 as the Pirates powered past Colorado, 14-6.

C. J. Cron singled twice, doubled twice and homered in the 16-5 Twins laugher over the Angels.

Lucas Giolito threw a complete game 4 hit shutout of the Houston Astros, earning the 4-0 decision for the White Sox.

Steven Matz struck out 7 Nationals in 6 innings, allowing a single run. He did not get the decision but helped set up the Mets sweep concluding 6-4 victory.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Matthew Boyd threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits. The Tigers bullpen melted down in the 9th and Miami won again, 5-2.

Renato Núñez got a pair of hits including a game tying 3 run homer in the 8th. The Yankees would comeback the next inning and win against Baltimore, 6-5.

Anthony Rizzo went 4 for 5 with a homer and 3 RBI but the Cubs could not top Philadelphia in a 9-7 final.

Stephen Strasburg threw 7 strong innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 5 Mets. The Nationals bullpen failed again and lost, 6-4.

Who Owned Baseball August 17, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

Manny Machado homered twice, driving in 3, as the Dodgers clobbered the Mariners, 11-1.

Xander Bogaerts tripled, hit a pair of doubles, drove in a pair and scored once to help the Red Sox erase an early deficit and defeat the Rays, 7-3.

Aaron Nola struck out 11 Mets in 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run to earn the 4-2 decision for the Phillies.

Carlos Carrasco allowed 3 hits and no earned runs over 7 innings, winning the 2-1 game for Cleveland over the Orioles.

They all owned baseball on August 16, 2018

Mookie Betts got on base 5 times, doubling twice, scoring 5 runs and crushing a grand slam as the Red Sox humiliated the Yankees, 14-1.

Asdrubal Cabrera homered twice as the red hot Mets rallied in the 9th to top Miami, 8-6.

Aaron Sanchez took a no hitter into the 8th, finishing with 3 hits, 1 run to lead the Blue Jays past the Orioles, 2-1.

Stephen Strasburg tossed 8 innings of 3 hits shutout ball, striking out 8 Braves and earning the 4-1 decision for Washington.

Who Owned Baseball April 3, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB Standings

Didi Gregorius had a mind boggling opener in the Bronx, reaching base 5 times, doubling and smashing a pair of 3 run homers, driving in 8 altogether, to blow open a tight game with Seattle to a decisive 11-4 Yankees win.

Jakob Junis threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits and struck out 6 Tigers as the Royals won their first game by a razor thin 1-0 final.

Christian Villanueva clobbered three homers, driving in 5, to lead the Padres past the Rockies, 8-4, for their first win of the year.

Shane Carle came out of the bullpen to throw 3 1/3 one hit shutout innings to stop the bleeding and allow the Braves to give the Nationals their first loss of the year, 13-6.

Matthew Boyd took a no hitter to 2 outs in the 9th inning. He settled for a complete game 1 hit shutout of the White Sox and a 12-0 final in Detroit.

Joe Mauer singled, doubled and launched a grand slam, driving in 5 runs altogether, in the Twins 13-7 comeback victory over Toronto.

Robert Stephenson allowed 1 hit over 6 shutout innings, striking out 8 Pirates for the 5-2 Cincinnati win.

Ryan Zimmerman got 3 hits, including a pair of homers, driving in 4, to lead Washington past Los Angeles, 7-1.

Nathan Karns allowed just 1 hit over 6 shutout innings, fanning 7 White Sox hitters as the Royals prevailed, 6-1.

Ian Desmond homered twice and drove in 3 to help the Rockies club San Diego, 11-3.

Carlos Correa got 4 hits, including a homer, as the Astros blew out Texas, 10-1.

Yoenis Cespedes homered three times and added a double, driving in 5 in the Mets 14-4 blow out over Philadelphia.

Robbie Ray shutout the Giants into the 7th, finishing with 6 2/3 scoreless frames, 4 hits and 8 strikeouts to earn the 4-3 decision for the Diamondbacks.

Christian Vazquez collected 4 hits, including a double and a triple, scored 2, drove in 2 and stole a base to help the Red Sox thrash Baltimore, 8-1.

Matthew Boyd held the Twins to 1 hit and no runs over 6 innings, striking out 6 along the way. He earned the 2-1 final for Detroit.
