Jon Gray threw 8 strong innings, striking out 8 Brewers and allowing just 4 hits and 1 run. He did not get the decision but Colorado won 5-4 in extra innings.
Trevor Cahill struck out 10 in 6 innings of shutout ball as the A’s blanked Detroit, 6-0.
Nick Markakis went 4 for 5 with the go ahead 10th inning homer to power the Braves past the Mets, 5-4.
Mark Trumbo homered twice and singled, driving in 5 runs to give the Orioles a rare victory, 9-6 in Texas.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Dan Straily allowed 1 hit and struck out 7 in 5 1/3 innings. But his 5 walks took him out of the game early and the Marlins bullpen dropped the 5-3 game to Philadelphia.
Taylor Cole came out of the bullpen in the first innings and threw 3 2/3 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, striking out 3 Indians along the way. The early damage stuck and the Angels fell 4-3.
Ben Zobrist came off the bench to single, homer and score a pair of runs. The Cubs bullpen would let the 10-6 game against San Diego get out of hand.
Whit Merrifield got 4 hits, including a 2 run homer, in the Royals 6-5 loss to the Twins.
