Mookie Betts went 4 for 5, scored 3 runs and put a dagger in the heart of the Yankees with a 11-6 AL East clincher for the Red Sox.

Edwin Jackson struck out 7 Angels in 5 1/3 innings as the A’s won a 21-3 laugher against the Angels.

Scooter Gennett got on base 3 times, homered and drove in all 4 Reds runs and played solid defense in the 4-2 victory over Miami.

Cody Reed threw 6 shutout innings, walking non and earning the 4-2 Reds decision over the Marlins.

Luke Voit homered twice and added 2 more hits, driving in 3 and scoring 4 as the Yankees prevented a Red Sox clinching party with a 10-1 thrashing.

Carlos Carrasco pitched into the 7th, striking out 11 White Sox in 6 2/3 innings. He did not get the decision but helped set up the 4-1 Cleveland walk off win.

Freddie Freeman reached base 4 times, homered, drove in 3 and stole a base to inch the Braves closer to a Division Title by topping St. Louis, 7-3.

Robbie Ray allowed 1 hits over 6 innings, striking out 8 as the Diamondbacks blanked the Cubs, 9-0.
