 Jose Altuve sparked a wild comeback with a walk and later in the same inning launched a homer, reaching base 4 times altogether in the wild 10-5 Astros win over the Angels.

Trea Turner got on base 3 times,homered and stole a base as the Nationals blanked the Mets, 6-0.

Justin Verlander threw 6 innings of 1 hit, shutout ball, striking out 11 Angels. He did not get the decision but he set up the 10 Houston victory.

Rich Hill struck out 7 Padres in 7 innings, allowing 1 run as the Dodgers held onto their Division Lead with a 7-2 final.

Whit Merrifield reached base 4 times, drove in a run and scored a run but the Royals fell short to the Tigers, 5-4.

Aramis Garcia went 4 for 4 with 2 RBI in the Giants 5-4 extra innings loss to St. Louis.

Brian Johnson did not allow a hit over 3 shutout innings of relief but the Indians walked off in extra innings against the Red Sox, 5-4.

Enyel De Los Santos came out of the bullpen in the third and stopped the bleeding with 2 shutout, hitless innings to give the Phillies a chance. It was too little too late as the Braves clinched the East with a 5-3 win.
