Max Scherzer recorded his 300th strikeout, allowing 1 run over 7 innings as the Nationals topped Miami, 9-4.

Gary Sanchez reached base 3 times, including a homer, as the Yankees won 9-2 over the Rays.

Matt Shoemaker struck out 7 Rangers and walked none to get the 4-1 decision for the Angels.
