Who Owned Baseball July 29, 2016 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2016 #WOB Standings

Junior Guerra pitched into the 9th, going 8 2/3 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run to earn the 3-1 victory for Milwaukee over Pittsburgh.

Tommy Pham went 2 for 4 with a homer, driving in 3 and scoring twice as the Cardinals out slugged Miami, 11-6.

Ricky Nolasco allowed 3 hits and 1 run over 8 brilliant innings. He did not get the decision but set up the Twins 2-1 win over the White Sox.

Rougned Odor doubled and hit two homers to spark Texas past the defending champion Royals, 8-3.

Tanner Roark went 7 strong, allowing 4 hits and 1 run as the Nationals hung on to win 4-2 in San Francisco.

Max Kepler reached base 3 times, homered, drove in a pair and helped the Twins beat Baltimore, 6-2.

Aledmys Diaz doubled and homered, driving in 3 and led the Cardinals past Miami, 5-4.

Freddie Freeman reached base 5 times, homered, drove in 5 and stole a base to highlight the Braves’ 9-7 victory over Minnesota.

Lance McCullers struck out 10 Yankees, allowing 1 run over 6 innings and earned the 4-1 decision for Houston.

Khris Davis went 3 for 4 with a pair of homers as the A’s held off Texas, 6-4.

Tyler Skaggs pitched his first big league game since 2014 and threw 7 shutout innings, allowing just 3 Royals hits and cruised to an easy 13-0 decision for the Angels.

Brandon Crawford collected 3 hits, including a triple, scoring 2 and driving in 2, to help clinch a 9-7 San Francisco win over the Reds.

Bud Norris gave the Dodgers 6 1/3 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and struck out 6 Rays, earning the 3-2 victory.

Melvin Upton Jr. got 3 hits including a walk off shot as the Padres topped the Yankees, 2-1.

Danny Duffy pitched into the 9th, finishing with 8 2/3 innings, 2 runs and 8 Phillies strikeouts as the Royals won, 6-2.

Scott Kazmir struck out 10 Rockies over 6 shutout innings and earned the 6-1 decision for the Dodgers.

Trevor Bauer came out of the bullpen the day before he was supposed to start and threw 5 shutout innings with the game on the line for almost all of his 83 pitches. Bauer got the decision for Cleveland’s 14th straight victory, a 19 inning 2-1 final in Toronto.

Victor Martinez homered twice in the Tigers’ 10-2 thrashing of Tampa Bay.

Jaime Garcia threw 8 strong innings, allowing 1 run and 4 hits, getting the 7-1 win for the Cardinals over Milwaukee.

Marcell Ozuna collected 4 hits including a homer in the Marlins wild 7-5 extra inning win in Atlanta.

Matt Moore threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits as the Rays blanked the Red Sox, 4-0.

Daniel Murphy homered twice against his old teammates to help the Nationals top the Mets, 4-2.

Max Scherzer struck out 10 Mets, allowing 2 hits and no runs as the Nationals widened their division lead, 4-2.

Jon Lester allowed 3 hits, 1 walk and 1 run over 7 2/3 innings. The bullpen would blow his lead but he set up the Cubs 7-2 extra inning victory in Cincinnati.

Brian Dozier provided all the game’s offense, homering twice and driving in 4 as the Twins blanked the White Sox, 4-0.

Matt Carpenter reached base 4 times, homered and doubled, driving in 2 as St. Louis doubled up their cross state rival Royals, 8-4.

Andrew McCutchen homered twice, driving in 4 and was the difference in the Pirates 6-1 win over the Dodgers.

Clayton Kershaw struck out 8 Washington batters and walked none over 7 innings, allowing 1 run and getting his 11th victory for the Dodgers, 4-1.

Tyler Naquin reached base 5 times, homered and drove in 4 as the Indians clobbered the White Sox 13-2.

Dallas Keuchel pitched 7 strong innings, allowing 2 runs and walking none. He would not get the decision but the Astros walked off 5-4 winners over the Reds.
