Cole Hamels struck out 12 Royals in 8 innings, allowing 2 runs and earning the 3-2 Texas victory.

Tanner Roark went 7 strong, allowing 4 hits and 1 run as the Nationals hung on to win 4-2 in San Francisco.

Max Kepler reached base 3 times, homered, drove in a pair and helped the Twins beat Baltimore, 6-2.

Aledmys Diaz doubled and homered, driving in 3 and led the Cardinals past Miami, 5-4.

David Price finally pitched like an ace, giving the Red Sox 8 shutout innings, scattering 7 hits. Boston rewarded him with blowing the lead and the game in the 9th to the Angels, 2-1.

Jacob deGrom threw 7 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 walk. The Mets bullpen imploded and lost the game to Colorado, 2-1.

Adam Jones doubled and homered in the Orioles 6-2 loss to the Twins.

Martin Prado went 2 for 4 with a homer but the Marlins came up short to St. Louis, 5-4.
