Trevor Bauer came out of the bullpen the day before he was supposed to start and threw 5 shutout innings with the game on the line for almost all of his 83 pitches. Bauer got the decision for Cleveland’s 14th straight victory, a 19 inning 2-1 final in Toronto.

Victor Martinez homered twice in the Tigers’ 10-2 thrashing of Tampa Bay.

Jaime Garcia threw 8 strong innings, allowing 1 run and 4 hits, getting the 7-1 win for the Cardinals over Milwaukee.

Marcell Ozuna collected 4 hits including a homer in the Marlins wild 7-5 extra inning win in Atlanta.

Marcus Stroman held the red hot Indians to 1 run and 5 hits over 6 2/3 innings. He would be long gone from the game as Toronto lost in 19 innings, 2-1.

Trevor Plouffe went 3 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBI in the Twins 3-2 defeat by Texas.

Welington Castillo singled and homered in the Diamondbacks 6-4 loss to the Giants
