George Springer helped the Astros come from behind with 3 hits, including a homer, 4 RBI and 2 runs scored to top Boston, 7-6.
Jeremy Hellickson struck out 9 Reds in 7 innings, giving up just 4 hits and 2 runs and earned the 3-2 decision for the Phillies.
Joe Panik reached base 3 times and launched a 3 run come from behind homer on a 3-0 count and gave the Giants all the offense they needed, 3-1 over Arizona.

Matt Holliday went 4 for 5 with a pair of homers and 3 RBI to help the Cardinals take a 12-10 slugfest in Anaheim.
Chase Headley finally got an extra base hit, a homer, and reached base 3 times, driving in two and scoring twice and sparked the Yankees past the Royals, 7-3.

Noah Syndergaard earns a rare pitcher WOB as a hitter, clubbing a pair of homers, driving in all four of the Mets run and earning the 4-3 decision on the mound against the Dodgers to boot.
Doug Fister threw 7 strong innings, allowing just 2 runs and walking no Indians batter. He did not get the decision but set up the Astros walk off 5-3 in the 16th.
Jackie Bradley Jr. homered twice and doubled, knocking in 6 as the red hot Red Sox clubbed the A’s, 13-3.

Matt Carpenter homered twice in the Cardinals 8-1 clobbering of the Angels.

Chris Herrmann homered twice, driving in 3 including the go ahead 2 run blast in the 11th to give Arizona a 5-3 victory in Atlanta.

Trevor Story homered again and got two other hits, driving in 3 as the Rockies humiliated the Giants, 17-7.
Edwin Encarnacion drove in 6 runs, reached base 4 times and homered in the Blue Jays 12-2 blow out of Texas.

The 3nd week is well underway, and we had some great shows to listen to over the last week – courtesy of the following BBBA shows.

We have an outstanding amount of baseball fans that are doing audio and video presentations for the game of baseball that are not even being paid for it.
I would put the content of these shows up against a lot of the paid professionals of the MLB – or any other entity that possesses the wherewithal to be able to do that.

In this opening week we had Sully Baseball talk a lot about the Pirates, D’Backs, Cubs and the Cardinals in opening week. He keyed on where Tim Lincecum may end up, and the opening start for Zack Greinke. Like everyone else, he also submitted his yearly predictions.
Sully also delivered an emotional podcast where he implores everyone to love their extended family more on April 2, 2016 – because you don’t know when you may lose some one.

The “BBA” Live guys talked about the opening week, and a lot about what the NL East will look like this year.
