Who Owned Baseball June 17, 2016 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2016 #WOB Standings

Jeff Samardzija threw a complete game, allowing 4 Tampa Bay hits and 1 run, getting the 5-1 victory for San Francisco.

Justin Turner homered twice and got the walk off hit in extra innings, sealing the Dodgers 3-2 win over Milwaukee.

Cole Hamels pitched a shutout into the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, allowing just 3 hits and earning the razor thin 1-0 decision for the Rangers over St. Louis.

Michael Saunders hit 3 homers, driving in 8 and led the Blue Jays in a 13-3 romp over Baltimore.

They all owned baseball on June 17, 2016.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Michael Wacha threw 7 2/3 solid innings, striking out 7 and allowing one run. That would be one run too many as the Cardinals were shutout 1-0 by Texas.

Jon Jay went 3 for 5, scoring a pair and driving in 1 in San Diego’s 7-5 loss to the Nationals.

Jose Quintana allowed 2 runs over 7 2/3 innings, striking out 6. He got no decision in the White Sox 3-2 defeat to Cleveland.

Miguel Cabrera collected 3 hits including a homer but the Tigers fell to Kansas City 10-3.
