The Most Recent No Hitter For Each Franchise (Updated for James Paxton)

Third No Hitter This Year… In As Many Countries

Sean Manea threw one in America… Walker Buehler, Tony Cingrani, Yimi Garcia and Adam Liberatore combined for one in Mexico and now Canadian James Paxton threw one in his home country.

The Mariners lefty no hit the Blue Jays in a 5-0 final, the sixth no no in Seattle Mariners history. Hisashi Iwakuma had thrown the previous one

Paxton has always had ace stuff, but he has had trouble staying healthy. The Mariners are hoping that they finally are going to have that break out year.

Now to update the list.

The Most Recent No Hitter For Each Franchise (Updated for Combined Dodger No Hitter)

COMBINEDNONO

Orlando Ramirez / USA TODAY Sports – SNLA

Now THAT was a show for the folks of Monterrey Mexico!

In a game that was drenched in rain, the fans who braved the weather were treated to a combined no hitter. Walker Buehler took the first six. Tony Cingrani, Yimi Garcia and Adam Liberatore each threw a no hit inning and an unlikely group of arms etched their names into Dodgers history.

They knocked a more likely name off of this list… Clayton Kershaw.

Of course they did this against the Padres, still looking for their first No Hitter in Team History.

The Angels got clobbered at home by the Red Sox and dropped two more to San Francisco, derailing their momentum. If they want to make a play for the AL West, they need to play the Astros well, head to head. The Angels and Astros series starts tonight.

Seeing the whole season as a series if tests in this episode of Sully Baseball.

The Most Recent No Hitter For Each Franchise (Updated for Sean Manaea)

sean

AP Photo/John Hefti

That’s one way to slow down the Red Sox!

Sean Manaea faced a red hot Red Sox team who was throwing their ace and said “I have a novel idea. Why don’t I throw a no hitter?”

A bloop over the infield could have been called a hit instead of an error and it looked like Benitendi reached until a replay showed the glove brushing his shirt.

Now a bright young star no hit the hottest team in baseball and who else was in the stadium? Dallas Braden, who had thrown the previous no hitter in A’s history.

Hat tipped from THIS Red Sox fan.

Now to update the list.

Sully Baseball Podcast – Reds Managers and Yankee Pitching – April 19, 2018

Giancarlo Stanton will get his hits. Don’t worry about him. Yankee fans should be concerned about their pitching depth for this season.

Meanwhile the Reds were right to fire Bryan Price but they should have done it nearly 2 years ago.

Better late than never in this episode of Sully Baseball.
