Who Owned Baseball May 1, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

Jon Gray threw 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 6 Cubs in the Rockies 3-1 victory.

Matt Adams went 3 for 4 with 2 homers to help the Nationals clobber the Pirates 12-4.

Nick Tropeano allowed just 1 hit over 6 1/3 shutout innings. He did not get the decision but helped set up the Angels 3-2 walk off win over Baltimore.

Dee Gordon collected 5 hits, including a double, stealing 2 bases and scoring as Seattle topped the A’s, 6-3.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Kyle Hendricks pitched into the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, 4 hits, 3 runs and striking out 5 Rockies but was on the wrong end of a 3-1 decision for the Cubs.

Yoenis Cespedes singled twice, homered and threw out a runner at the plate in the Mets 3-2 loss to Atlanta.

Justin Verlander struck out 14 Yankees over 8 innings of 3 hit, shutout ball. But the Astros bullpen allowed all of the runs in the 9th of the 4-0 final.

Mitch Moreland went 3 for 6, including a homer, but the Red Sox lost 7-6 in 13 innings.
