Who Owned Baseball Sept 15, 2014 (Daily AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2014 #WOB Standings

Miguel Cabrera went 3-5 with a double and a homer in the 9th inning to help the Tigers beat the Twins, 8-6.

Mark Trumbo hit a grand slam and drove in a 5 run, helping the the Diamondbacks top the Giants 6-2.

Matt Shoemaker pitched the Angels into the playoffs with a 7 2/3 inning performance, allowing 5 hits and 1 run, walking none and getting the 8-1 victory over Seattle.

Andrew Cashner threw a complete game 2 hit shuout, winning a tense 1-0 pitchers duel against the Phillies in San Diego.

They all owned baseball on Sept 15, 2014.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing efforts.

Jacob deGrom tied an MLB record by striking out 8 batters to start the game. He would finish with 13 K’s over 7 innings, walking 1 and allowing 3 runs. The Mets bullpen would blow the lead and Miami walked away 6-5 winners.

Joe Mauer went 2-4, driving in 4 including the tying runs in an 8th inning rally. The Twins would fall in the 9th to the Tigers, 8-6.

Wilin Rosario went 3-4 with a homer in the Rockies 11-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Chris Capuano gave the Yankees 6 innings of 2 hit shutout ball. The Yankees in turn gave him no runs and no decision and Tampa Bay walked off 1-0 winners.
