Who Owned Baseball August 21, 2015 (Daily AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2015 #WOB Standings

Mike Fiers threw the 11th no hitter in Houston Astros history, walking 3 Dodgers and striking out 10 while completing his 3-0 masterpiece.

Andrew Cashner threw 6 strong innings, allowing 1 unearned run, striking out 8 Cardinals and earning the 9-3 decision for the Padres.

Ben Revere went 4 for 5 with a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI, helping the Blue Jays inch closer to first place by beating the Angels, 9-2.

Yoenis Cespedes socked 2 doubles and 3 homers, including the game winner, driving in 7, leading the Mets past Colorado in a 14-9 Coors slugfest.

They all owned baseball on August 21, 2015

 

Earning 1/2 WOBs on losing efforts.

Justin Verlander pitched 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run, 1 unearned run, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts in the Tigers 2-0 loss to Texas.

Miguel Cabrera smacked 3 doubles but was stranded each time as Detroit fell 2-0 to the Rangers.

Nolan Arenado doubled twice and homered, driving in 4 runs in the Rockies 14-9 loss to the Mets.
