Who Owned Baseball August 22, 2015 (Daily AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2015 #WOB Standings



Paul Goldschmidt went 4 for 5 with 2 homers, a double and 4 RBI while leading the Diamondbacks in a 11-7 win over the Reds.

Josh Donaldson homered twice, singled and doubled while driving in 6 as Toronto blew out the Angels 15-3.

Gerrit Cole threw 7 strong innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 unearned run, striking out 8. He got a no decision but the Pirates walked off 3-2 winners against the Giants.

Carlos Rodon gave the White Sox 7 innings with 1 earned run and 8 strikeouts. He did not figure in the decision but Chicago topped Seattle 6-3 in 10 innings.

They all owned baseball on August 22, 2015

Nick Swisher homered twice, driving in 4, in the Braves 9-7 loss to the Cubs.

Francisco Lindor went 3 for 4 with a double and a homer but his Indians fell to the Yankees 6-2.

Mike Leake allowed one hit, a solo homer, a walk and 6 strikeouts over 6 innings. The Giants would lose in the 9th 3-2 in Pittsburgh.

Sonny Gray pitched 8 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. The A’s would blow the lead and lose 5-4 to Tampa Bay.

Earning 1/2 WOBs on losing efforts.
