Who Owned Baseball October 1, 2016 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2016 #WOB Standings

Ty Blach threw 8 shutout innings, out dueled Kershaw and got a hit in the Giants crucial 3-0 win over the Dodgers.

Joey Votto doubled twice and singled, driving in 3, to lead the Reds past the Cubs, 7-4

Collin McHugh took a shutout into the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, no runs and only one walk as the Astros blanked the Angels, 3-0.

Joey Wendle got 4 hits, driving in 2, including a 10th inning RBI double that put the A’s up for good, 9-8, and eliminated the Mariners from the Wild Card hunt.

They all owned baseball on October 1, 2016.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Clayton Kershaw allowed 1 earned run and 2 unearned run over 7 strong innings. The Dodgers however would be shutout and Kershaw would get a hard luck 3-0 loss to the Giants.

Ryan Howard got 2 hits, including a homer, but the Phillies dropped the 5-3 game to the Mets, who clinched a Wild Card spot.

Robinson Cano reached base 3 times, homered, and singled in a critical game tying rally. But the Mariners came up short, 9-8 in 10 innings to Oakland, and were knocked out of playoff contention.
