Let’s see owned baseball on July 2, 2019
Earning Full WOBs:
Rafael Devers went 4 for 5 with 2 homers and 6 RBI to give the travel weary Red Sox a much needed 10-6 victory.
Evan Longoria homered twice, singled and doubled as the Giants rolled to a 10-4 beating of the Padres.
Charlie Morton struck out 12 Orioles in 7 innings, giving up a single run as the Rays won, 6-3.
Aaron Nola threw 8 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits and recording 8 strikeouts as the Phillies blanked the Braves, 2-0.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Jason Castro hit a pair of homers and added another hit but the Twins were stopped by Oakland, 8-6.
Dallas Keuchel held the Phillies to 2 runs over 7 solid innings. The Braves bats were shutout in the 2-0 final.
José Martínez slammed 2 home runs but the Cardinals were edged by the Mariners, 5-4.
James Paxton worked out of jam after jam over 6 innings, allowing just 1 run to the Mets. The Yankees bullpen would blow his lead and ultimately the 4-2 game.

Jacob deGrom struck out 13 Diamondbacks over 7 strong innings as the Mets came away with the 3-1 victory.
Charlie Morton threw 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and struck out 8 Indians and earned the 4-1 decision for Houston.
Jose Martinez got 4 hits, including a homer, driving in 5 runs to lead the Cardinals 12-4 pounding of Philadelphia.
Wilson Ramos homered twice and singled, driving in 3, as the Rays beat the Angels, 8-3.

Jose Martinez drove in 6, got on 5 times including a homer and helped the Cardinals slug their way past the Reds, 13-4.
Rick Porcello held the Yankees hitless for the first six innings and wound up tossing 7 shutout 2 hit frames for the 6-3 victory in Boston.
Chris Stratton allowed 1 hit in 7 shutout innings, striking out 4 Padres and earning the 7-0 decision for the Giants.

Matt Davidson became only the 4th player in MLB history to hit three home runs on opening day. He would reach base 4 times altogether, driving home 5 runs and helped the White Sox double up the Royals, 14-7.
Joe Panik launched a solo shot off of Kershaw to provide all of the scoring as the Giants blanked the Dodgers, 1-0.
Dylan Bundy threw 7 shutout innings, scattering 5 hits and striking out 7 Twins. He did not get the decision but set up Baltimore’s 3-2 walk off win.
Chase Anderson allowed 1 hit in 6 shutout innings as the Brewers took the opener against the Padres, 2-1 in extra innings.

Who Owned Baseball September 5, 2017 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2017 #WOB Standings

Manny Machado homered twice, the second one came with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th as a come from behind walk off shot to give the Orioles a stunning 7-6 victory over the Yankees.
Jose Martinez collected 10 total bases including a pair of homers and 3 RBI to help the Cardinals past San Diego, 8-4.
Jake Odorizzi took a no hitter into the 7th and finished with 6 2/3 innings of 1 hit shutout ball as the Rays topped the Twins, 2-1.
Zack Greinke dominated his former teammates with 7 strong innings, striking out 6 Dodgers. He did not get the decision but the Diamondbacks won their 12th straight with a 3-1 final in 10.

Hyun-Jin Ryu held the Mets scoreless over 7 innings of 1 hit ball, recording 8 strikeouts and getting the Dodgers 8-0 victory.
Jose Martinez had 2 hits, including a grand slam, in the Cardinals 13-4 drubbing of the Reds.
Jake Junis held the Mariners to 1 run over 8 innings, striking out 7 to earn the 9-1 decision for the Royals.
Manny Machado went 4 for 5 with a homer and 5 RBI to lead the Orioles in a 12-3 blow out of Detroit.
