Andrew Heaney threw 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk and struck out 10 Astros as the Angels took the razor thin 2-1 divisional rival game.
Junior Guerra allowed 3 hits and 2 runs over 6 strong innings, striking out 6 Diamondbacks to earn the 7-2 decision for the first place Brewers.
Niko Goodrum homered twice, driving in 5, to help the Tigers sneak back into contention with a 6-3 final over Cleveland.
Brandon Belt singled, doubled and homered, driving in 3 to lead the Giants past Cincinnati, 10-4.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Jake Odorizzi threw 6 shutout innings, striking out 7 Mariners but the Twins bullpen dropped the 1-0 game.
Jackson Stephens was pressed into duty in the third and responded with 2 2/3 shutout innings to keep Cincinnati in the game. The rest of the Reds bullpen would implode as the Giants bats pounded away, 10-7.
Whit Merrifield went 3 for 4 with a homer in the Royals 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay.
Albert Almora Jr. collected 3 hits, including a homer, but the Cubs fell short against Atlanta, 6-5.
