Earning Full WOBs:
Pete Alonso reached base 3 times, homered and scored a pair of runs as the Mets took a share of first place by holding on in St. Louis, 5-4.
Mookie Betts doubled and hit a go ahead homer to give the Red Sox a much needed 6-4 victory over Tampa Bay.
Kyle Hendricks struck out 11 Diamondbacks over 7 shutout innings as the Cubs rolled, 5-1.
Marcus Stroman kept the A’s to 1 run over 8 strong innings to earn the 5-1 decision for the Blue Jays.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Kyle Dowdy stopped the Astros offense with 3 2/3 shutout innings, striking out 3 along the way. It was too little too late as the Rangers lost, 7-2.
Joey Gallo singled and homered but the Rangers were out slugged by the Astros, 7-2.
Bryce Harper collected 5 hits and drove in the go ahead run in the 12th. But the Phillies bullpen lost the game to the Rockies in the bottom of the 12th, 4-3.
Matt Strahm allowed 2 hits and 1 run over 8 innings, striking out 5 Reds. He did not fare in the decision as San Diego fell 3-2 in 11.
