Let’s see owned baseball on April 13, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Elvis Andrus reached base 4 times, homered, drove in 2 runs and stole home in the Rangers 8-7 come from behind win against Oakland.

Josh Bell went 2 for 3 with a walk and 2 RBI and 2 runs scored as the Pirates edged the Nationals, 4-3.

German Marquez took a no hitter into the 8th and finished with a complete game 1 hit shutout, striking out 9 Giants in the Rockies 4-0 victory.

David Price blanked the Orioles over 7 innings, scattering 3 hits and striking out 7, to give the Red Sox a 4-0 win.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Manuel Margot led off the game with a homer and added another hit, but the Padres were out slugged by the Diamondbacks, 8-4.

Billy McKinney collected 3 hits, including a homer, but the Blue Jays were doubled up by the Rays, 8-4.

Thomas Pannone came out of the bullpen to throw 3 perfect innings including an immaculate 3 strikeout 9 pitch frame, in the Blue Jays 8-4 loss to Tampa Bay.

Jose Urena held the Phillies to 1 run over 7 strong innings. He would not factor into the decision as the Marlins dropped the 3-1 final in 14 innings.

Let’s see owned baseball on April 13, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Madison Bumgarner rescued the exhausted San Francisco bullpen the day after an 18 inning marathon by going 7 strong innings, allowing 6 hits, no walks and striking out 7 Rockies to get the 5-2 decision.

Chris Davis ended a nightmarish 0-54 slump with 3 hits, including a double, driving in 3 to lead the Orioles past the flopping Red Sox, 9-5.

Austin Dean went 4 for 4 with a homers, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI as the Marlins won against Philadelphia, 10-3.

Justin Verlander struck out 11 Mariners while walking none over 6 innings, giving up a solo homer and one other hit to give the red hot Astros a 3-1 final.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Chris Archer struck out 9 Nationals in 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and 1 run but saw the Pirates bullpen surrender the lead and the game, 3-2.

Javier Baez hit 3 doubles, driving in 2 runs, but the Cubs came up short against the Angels, 6-5.

Blake Snell threw 6 innings of 1 hit, 1 walk shutout ball, striking out 9 Blue Jays. He did not get the decision as Tampa Bay’s bullpen dropped the 3-1 game.

Christian Vazquez doubled and homered, driving in 4, but the Red Sox fell to lowly Baltimore, 9-5.
