Let’s see owned baseball on April 11, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Shane Bieber became the latest Cleveland pitcher to dominate a game, throwing 7 shutout innings, striking out 6, to blank the Tigers, 4-0.

Khris Davis homered twice for the second straight game to slug the A’s past Baltimore, 8-5.

Jose Martinez went 4 for 5 with a double while scoring 3 to help the Cardinals beat the Dodgers, 11-7.

Jose Quintana struck out 11 Pirates over 7 shutout innings to give the Cubs a much needed 2-0 victory.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Ronald Acuña Jr. homered and added two other hits but the Braves came up short against the Mets, 6-3.

Freddy Galvis collected 4 hits, including a homer, but Toronto’s bullpen melted down and allowed the Red Sox to walk off 7-6 winners.

Jon Gray pitched into the 7th, allowing just 1 run over 6 1/3 innings, striking out 6 Giants but the Rockies were blanked, 1-0.

Jorge Lopez kept the Mariners scoreless through 5 and finished with 6 innings, 3 hits and 2 runs. He would not factor into the decision as the Royals fell in 10, 7-6.
