Earning Full WOBs:
Cody Bellinger got 3 hits, including the 2 out go ahead homer in the 9th, and stole a home run with a leaping catch to help the Dodgers win in Milwaukee, 6-5.
James Paxton blanked the Royals over 6 shutout innings, fanning 12 and walking only 1. The bullpen blew his lead but the Yankees walked off 7-6 winners in 10.
Justin Smoak got 4 hits, including a homer, driving in 2, to help the Blue Jays hang on against the A’s, 5-4.
Stephen Strasburg struck out 11 Marlins in 8 innings of 2 hit ball to earn the 5-0 decision for the Nationals.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Pete Alonso reached base 3 times, including a homer, but the Mets lost in St. Louis, 6-4.
Alex Gordon got a pair of hits including a dramatic 8th inning game tying home run. The Royals would lose the 7-6 game to the Yankees in 10.
Reynaldo Lopez pitched 6 innings, allowing 2 earned runs and striking out 8 and walking no Tigers. But the White Sox dropped the 4-3 game.
Robbie Ray allowed 1 run over 6 strong innings but did not get the decision as the Cubs walked off against the Diamondbacks, 2-1.
