Let’s see owned baseball on April 6, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Cole Hamels gave the Cubs a much needed quality start, shaking off early bumps to go 6 innings, allowing 2 runs and walking none. The Brewers would rally late but could not overtake Chicago, 14-8.

Jason Heyward reached base 5 times, including a pair of homers, and stole 2 bases to help the Cubs take a 14-8 slug fest in Milwaukee.

Aaron Judge homered twice, driving in 3, to help the Yankees come from behind to top Baltimore, 6-4.

Tyler Skaggs pitched into the 7th, finishing with 6 1/3 innings, 5 hits, 1 run and 1 walk while striking out 5 Rangers, earning the 5-1 decision for the Angels.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Tim Anderson went 3 for 4 with a homer but the White Sox were clobbered by the Mariners, 9-2.

Patrick Corbin struck out 9 Mets in 6 innings, walking 1. He did not fare in the decision as the Washington bullpen blew the lead and the game, 6-5.

Jorge Lopez threw 6 innings with 1 earned run and 1 unearned run, striking out 3 Tigers. Kansas City’s bullpen lost the 7-4 final.

Anthony Rendon got on base 3 times, including a homer, in the Nats wild 6-5 loss to the Mets.
