Stephen Drew singled, doubled and tripled, driving in 4 runs, helping the Yankees clobber the White Sox 12-3.

Noah Syndergaard pitched 8 strong innings, holding Washington to 2 runs on 2 solo homers, striking out 9 and walking none as the Mets swept into a first place tie winning 5-2.

Martín Pérez shutdown the hot San Francisco bats with 8 1/3 solid innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run and no walks, earning the 2-1 decision for Texas.

Kole Calhoun reached base 3 times including a homer and a double. But the Angels would fall to their freeway counterpart Dodgers 5-3 in the 10th.

Mike Pelfrey pitched 8 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits, and 1 walk. He would not get a decision as Seattle topped the Twins 4-1 in 11 innings.
