Mark Teixeira reached base 5 times, including a double and 2 homers, driving in 6 runs as the Yankees beat up the White Sox, 13-6.

Taijuan Walker let up a solo homer in the 4th and walked another batter and that was it. He pitched all 9 innings of a 1 hitter, striking out 11 Minnesota and earning a 6-1 decision for the Mariners.

Welington Castillo singled, doubled and hit a go ahead 10th inning homer that put the Diamondbacks ahead for good as the won in Houston, 6-4.

Matt Harvey was solid into the 8th in a critical game for the Mets. He went 7 2/3 innings, allowing 1 run, 5 hits, no walks and struck out 9 Nationals batters. He got a no decision but the Mets walked off 2-1 winners in the 12th.

Kendall Graveman pitched shutout ball into the 7th, finishing with 6 2/3 innings, 1 unearned run, 5 hits and 2 walks. He got a no decision as the A’s fell to Cleveland, 2-1.

Marlon Byrd reached base 3 times, including a homer, in the Reds 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh.
