Kyle Hendricks threw 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 run and striking out 7 Astros to earn the 2-1 decision for the Cubs.
Carlos Santana missed the cycle by a single, walking twice to add to his three extra base hits and 5 RBI to help the Indians out slug the Red Sox, 14-9.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Pete Alonso homered twice and added another hit, driving in 4, but the Dodgers came from behind to edge the Mets, 9-8.
Jackie Bradley Jr. went 3 for 4 with a homer in the Red Sox 14-9 loss to Cleveland.
Madison Bumgarner gave up 2 runs in 6 innings, striking out 4 Marlins but the punchless Giants fell, 4-2.
Wade Miley struck out 9 Cubs in 7 innings but took the hard luck 2-1 defeat for the Astros.
