Let’s see owned baseball on August 2, 2019
Earning Full WOBs:
Javier Báez went 3 for 5 with a homer and 3 RBI and a stolen base to give the Cubs a 6-2 victory over rival Milwaukee.
Nelson Cruz reached base 4 times, including a home run, driving in 5 as the Twins took the 11-9 slug fest with Kansas City.
Eric Lauer allowed just 3 hits, 2 runs and no walks over 6 innings to earn the 5-2 decision for the Padres over the Dodgers.
Lance Lynn struck out 10 Tigers in 7 innings, giving up 1 run as the Rangers hung on for the 5-4 final.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Hunter Dozier homered twice but the Royals fell short to the Twins, 11-9.
Dillon Peters entered the game in the first inning and gave the Angels 7 2/3 innings of relief, allowing 3 runs along the way. The damage had already been done as Cleveland won, 7-3.
Roman Quinn reached base 4 times, homered, stole two bases and even pitched 2 innings out of the bullpen. Sadly, he was credited with the loss as a pitcher as the Phillies fell to the White Sox 4-3 in 15 innings.
Alex Young struck out 9 Nationals over 6 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs. He would be stuck with the hard luck 3-0 decision for Arizona.

Earning Full WOBs:
Brad Keller allowed 2 hits and 2 runs as the Royals beat the Cardinals in Game 1 of their double header, 8-2.
Eric Lauer allowed 1 run over 7 innings, striking out 7 Diamondbacks and walking none to earn the 5-2 decision for San Diego.
Marcell Ozuna homered, doubled and walked as the Cardinals trounced the Royals 10-3 in the second game of a double header. In the opening game loss for St. Louis, Ozuna added a double and 2 RBI.
Gleyber Torres continued his domination of the Orioles with 2 homers to lead the Yankees to a 7-5 victory.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Marco Gonzales allowed 1 earned run and 1 unearned run as Seattle dropped another game, this one 2-1 to Texas.
Richie Martin homered and singled, scoring twice, in the Orioles 7-5 loss to the Yankees.
Andrew McCutchen got 3 hits, including a home run, but the Phillies were doubled up by the Cubs, 8-4.
Max Scherzer gutted out 6 shutout innings, striking out 9 Mets along the way. Washington had another bullpen meltdown and lost, 6-1.

Who Owned Baseball July 10, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

Eric Lauer pitched into the 9th, finishing with 8 2/3 innings, 1 run and 4 hits while striking out 8 Dodgers and earning the 4-1 victory for the Padres.
Marcus Stroman threw 7 strong innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 5 Atlanta batters to get the 6-2 decision in Toronto.
Kolten Wong doubled, homered and added 2 more hits in the Cardinals 14-2 thrashing of the White Sox.
Manny Machado homered twice, singled and was walked during the Orioles dramatic 9th inning where they walked off against the Yankees, 6-5.
They all owned baseball on July 10, 2018

Scooter Gennett hit a grand slam and an RBI double, driving in 6 altogether in the Reds 7-2 win over Pittsburgh.
Yonder Alonso reached base 4 times, including a double, driving in 3 and scoring 2 in Cleveland’s 10-1 thrashing of the Cubs.
Caleb Smith pitched into the 7th, finishing with 6 2/3 innings, 1 run and struck out 8 Mets as Miami won, 5-1.
Chris Sale struck out 9 Rays over 7 2/3 innings, earning the 4-2 decision for Boston.
They all owned baseball on May 21, 2018
