Let’s see owned baseball on September 16, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

José Berríos pitched into the 8th, striking out 8 White Sox in 7 1/3 innings to earn the 5-3 decision for the Twins.

Adalberto Mondesi hit a first inning RBI triple and a 9th inning go ahead double to lead the Royals to a come from behind 6-5 win in Oakland.

Marcell Ozuna went 2 for 4 with a homer, 4 RBI and played great defense as the Cardinals topped the Nationals, 4-2.

Robbie Ray held the Marlins hitless into the 6th and finished with 6 inning, 1 hit, 1 run and 7 strikeouts to set up Arizona’s 7-5 victory.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Pablo López threw 6 strong innings, striking out 6 and walking no Arizona batter. He did not fare in the decision as the Marlins dropped the 7-5 final.

Jeff McNeil went 2 for 5 with a homer and 2 RBI but the Mets fell 9-4 in Colorado.

Yusmeiro Petit threw 1 2/3 shutout innings of relief but the A’s could not hold on to the lead and lost 6-5 to Kansas City.

Marcus Semien got 3 hits, including a homer, but the A’s bullpen melted down and dropped the 6-5 game to the Royals.

Let’s see owned baseball on May 5, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Asdrubal Cabrera went 2 for 4 with a homer and 4 RBI to help the Rangers clobber the Blue Jays, 10-2.

Zach Davies pitched into the 8th, finishing with 7 2/3 innings, 6 hits, 2 runs while striking out 5 Mets in Milwaukee’s 3-2 victory.

Buster Posey doubled and homered to help the Giants come from behind against the Reds, 6-5.

Spencer Turnbill pitched 7 innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 7 Royals. The Tigers bullpen blew his lead but walked off 5-2 in the 9th.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Pablo Lopez held the Braves scoreless over 6 innings, striking out 6 Braves. The Marlins bullpen dropped the 3-1 game in extra innings.

Frankie Montas threw 6 strong innings, walking none and allowing a single run. The A’s dropped the 5-3 game in 13 innings.

Jonathan LuCroy homered twice in the Angels 10-4 loss to Houston.

Tim Peterson threw 2 1/3 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit and no walks out of the bullpen. He could not prevent the Brewers from topping the Mets, 3-2.

Who Owned Baseball August 2, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVP’s) + 2018 #WOB

Steve Pearce hit 3 homers, including a go ahead 3 run shot, to lead the Red Sox stunning offensive outpouring against the Yankees, 15-7.

Yasiel Puig homered twice and singled, driving in 4 runs as the Dodgers smoked the Brewers, 21-5.

Reynaldo Lopez allowed 2 runs over 7 innings, striking out 4 Royals as the White Sox won, 6-4.

Max Scherzer struck out 10 Reds in 6 innings to earn the 10-4 decision for Washington.

They all owned baseball on August 2, 2018

Pablo Lopez threw 6 strong innings, allowing 3 hits and 1 run and struck out 6 Rays in the Marlins 3-2 win.

Dylan Covey pitched into the 9th, finishing with 8 1/3 shutout innings, striking out 5 as the White Sox blanked the Mariners, 5-0.

Corey Dickerson hit a pair of homers and stole a base to help the Pirates beat Cincinnati, 6-2.

Yonder Alonso homered twice and walked in the Indians 16-3 thrashing of the Rangers.
