Andrew Benintendi Could Be Promoted By The Boston Red Sox Very Soon
Following the promotion of Alex Bregman and David Dahl, Andrew Benintendicould be the next star prospect called up to the big leagues. The Boston Red Sox organization could use an everyday outfielder in left field, and Benintendi could be the answer.
Benintendi was drafted seventh overall by the Red Sox in the 2015 MLB Draft. Since stepping on the field as a Red Sox prospect, Benintendi has done nothing but impress. He has proven his bat is above average, possesses above average speed, and he has very good defense in centerfield. Over the past two years, he has started every game in centerfield, but the Red Sox have switched him to left field over the last two games. Many people believe this position change is prepping one of their top prospects for a move to the big leagues.

Dave Dombrowski Living up to Reputation, Which is Exactly What the Red Sox Wanted
Following last-place finishes in three of the last four years prior to 2016, the Boston Red Sox decided it was time for a change in ideology with regard to baseball operations.
Nearly a full calendar year in his new position, Dave Dombrowski has made his impact felt with numerous moves, which is exactly what the Red Sox were looking for this year and the immediate future. Here’s a look at some notable acquisitions made since last winter:
- Signed David Price to a seven-year, $217 million deal.
- Traded Manuel Margot, Javier Guerra, Carlos Asuaje and Logan Allen for Craig Kimbrel.
- Traded Wade Miley and Jonathan Aro for Carson Smith and Roenis Elias
- Acquired Aaron Hill from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for Wendell Rijo andAaron Wilkerson.
- Acquired Michael Martinez from the Cleveland Indians for cash considerations.
- Acquired Brad Ziegler from the Arizona Diamondbacks for Jose Almonte and Luis Alejandro Basabe.
- Acquired Drew Pomeranz from the San Diego Padres for Anderson Espinoza.
It’s still pretty early in trade season with regard to the August 1 deadline, but Boston has undoubtedly been the most active team thus far.
This is exactly the reason why ownership pegged Dombrowski as their top choice for this role. As much as he has a reputation for balancing analytics with more traditional player evaluation, he’s also known for being unafraid of making a big splash.

For Whatever League Wins The 2016 ALL – Star Game: Chances Are Home Field Wont Matter In The World Series Because Of The Dumb 2 – 3 – 2 Format

Chances are that whichever League wins this game tonight will actually plays less games at home in the World Series, as a 5 games Fall Classic is more likely to happen, than a 7 game set in the World Series.
Hunter Stokes (Chief Writer/Part Owner)
Follow @stokes_Hunter21 @mlbreports
Yeah I said it… and fully mean it. This is my annual gripe of how the ALL – Star Game winner will likely not play more games at their home park because of the 2 – 3 – 2 format. I am sure that a lot of people hate the fact the Midsummer Classic even determines home field advantage.
I actually don’t think the game meaning something is a bad idea. I guess no one remembers that drab games we suffered from about 1995 – 2002 – where more players would exit the game and hop on a pending flight, than actually stayed?
For the most part, the MLB has made nice changes to the ALL – Star Game. Having the fans only vote on the starters, the players on the reserves, with the managers picking their pitchers. I also like that Catchers can reenter the contest.
As for the league winner of this game and home field advantage for the Fall Classic. You are way more likely to a series go 5 games as opposed to 7. It also baffles me how the team with a home field advantage for a series ever trails in games played at their venue. There will be another follow up article near the playoffs in pertaining to this article.
The MLB should use a 3 – 3 – 1 format instead of the 2 – 3 – 2 as a counter, for this would be ideal to clone what clubs go through in the regular season. Series of 3 are perfect. I understand it is too hard with travel, to use the best series setup of 2 – 2 – 1 – 1 – 1. Read the rest of this entry

STUDS
Carrasco, Price, and MadBum…… All with sketchy match ups. I’m personally fading all three, if I had to choose one, I’d go Carrasco. He’s kept the Tigers in check with exception of Miggy, but the Tigers can blow up at any time. More of a tourney play.
MID RANGE
Masahiro Tanaka– Whitesox hitting a combined .224 vs him and he’s been pretty reliable this year.
AJ Griffin– Current Sox 9-38 off him and he’s limited the HR’s this year. Sox do appear to be heating up, so there’s some risk but he could pay off nicely,
VALUE
Tim Lincecum- Rays have made a lot of below average pitchers look good this year, they K a bunch vs righties and its in the Trop. Not high upside here, but 6 innings, 2 ER with 5-6 K’s and the W is a reachable line. And his price could allow you some big bats.

The Atlanta Braves Need To Trade Julio Teheran, But It Might Not Happen
As it gets closer to the trade deadline, Atlanta Braves pitcher, Julio Teheran, is gaining more and more attention. Through five starts in June, Teheran has been absolutely dominant throwing 37.2 innings, with a 1.91 ERA, 17 hits against, 37 strikeouts, and only four walks. The Braves will bring in quite the haul if they decide to deal the right-hander to a competing team at the trade deadline.
So far in 2016, Teheran owns a 3-7 record, with a 2.46 ERA, 70 hits against, 99 strikeouts, and 24 walks in 106 innings pitched. Pay no attention to the record since he is currently playing for the worst team in baseball, but this might not be for long. Many teams have expressed interest in Teheran, including the Boston Red Sox, Miami Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers, and other teams competing for a spot in the playoffs.
Teheran would help a competing team, but he may not be worth the price the Atlanta Braves are asking for. Not only is the price high, but there are some concerning factors that might show that Teheran’s success in 2016 could be a fluke.
To read more about how Teheran’s 2016 season could be a fluke, click the link below:
