The Twins stink… a LOT. But they are loaded with talent and will have a top draft pick. A few trades can stack their farm even more.
It is a “the night is darkest before the dawn” episode of The Sully Baseball Daily Podcast.
Hector Santiago, Kurt Suzuki, Drew Pomeranz, Nick Markakis, James Paxton, Daniel Murphy and Jason Kipnis all added to their totals for Who Owns Baseball yesterday.

One of the biggest blunders made by many gamblers is betting against themselves. We are going to simplify the process, so if you win, you can really win – none of this barely break even nonsense.
Our new Draft Strategy is now here. Please read after the post. You can use our formula for your own wanted and given stacks and pitchers. This process wheels them all in alignment.
Now here is what we are going to do for today’s MLB DFS FanDuel style.
We Will Give You – Daily
3 – 7 team stacking options ( We are going to draw most of our players from these squads).
3 – 5 Pitching candidates (High level, midlevel and budget).
We enter another 4 days before the ALL Star Break where we have 4 straight slates that will carry Coors Field on them. We are always going to advise doing a bunch of team stacks wheeled with each other, including Colorado, and we are also recommending you enter all single entry (or low entries max tournaments.)
You at least have a fighting chance to won some money playing FanDuel, with a heavy emphasis on HRs and pitcher wins. Forget about playing against all of the sharps and rosters on DraftKings. Below we have a full write up on Coors Field for you to read.

Minor League Baseball Remains a Budget-Friendly Entertainment Option
Minor League Baseball issued the following press release today:
Minor League Baseball Remains a Budget-Friendly Entertainment Option
Family of four can attend a game for an average of less than $65
PETERSBURG, Florida — Minor League Baseball announced today that attending one of its games is, yet again, one of the most economical forms of family entertainment available. The average cost for a family of four to enjoy a Minor League Baseball game this season is only $64.97; a price that includes parking, two adult tickets, two child tickets, four hot dogs, two sodas and two beers.
MLB Bans Red Sox From Signing Fat, Bad Players
Straight off the heels of their scandal of signing international amateur prospects against Major League Baseball rules, the Commissioner’s Office has set yet another ban to the Boston Red Sox disallowing the team from signing fat, crappy players for a full calendar year.
The Red Sox nearly violated the widely known rules against a team signing too many fat, crappy players when they signed third baseman Pablo Sandoval. “We realize what signing too many fat, crappy players can do to the competitive balance of the league,” said Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred. “If an organization has free rein to sign as many tubby lards as they want, then it gives all the other teams an unfair advantage to outrun, out endure, and just stay hydrated enough to finish a baseball game.”
Manfred added, “Luckily, Sandoval injured his shoulder so the other teams wouldn’t get too much of an edge.” Commissioner Manfred then impressively scarfed down an entire bowl of chili.
The penalty came as a surprise to the Red Sox organization. Some players praised the move, like current third baseman Travis Shaw.
“I’m just glad we have room on the bus to sit in our own seats because when some of our old fat, crappy players were on the team bus, there were only 25 seats on the bus, filling our 25-man-roster, and since our fattest, crappiest player took up two seats I had to stand,” Shaw said.

Daily Matchups for 7/7/2016
Pitcher
STUDS
Drew Pomeranz- Dodgers don’t hit very well vs. lefties. On a small slate, Pomeranz stands out as the top option with a high potential for strikeouts.
Trevor Bauer- Since the start of June he owns a 1.81 ERA and a WHIP under 1.00. He faces a Yankee offense that…..well, is just bad.
MID RANGE
Danny Duffy- Over 10 strikeouts per 9 innings and a WHIP under 1.00. Seattle is just middle of the pack vs. lefties.
Jason Hammel- Current Braves hitters actually have good numbers vs. him, but they are the Braves and haven’t been very good this year. I’d consider him a low owned tournament play.
VALUE
Doug Fister- Oakland bats really don’t scare me here and Fister has quietly been a solid arm this year, with an ERA of 3.66. Won’t strikeout many but could you a W if the Astros can get to Hill.

For Baseball Hall-of-Famer Fred Clarke, Mustaches Were a Hairy Subject
Facial hair is all the rage these days for those many, who spend inordinate amounts of time and money cultivating beards, mustaches and other elaborate whiskery concoctions. Although many ball players currently sport all manners of hair on their faces, it’s something that has not always been tolerated. An early opponent was Hall of Famer Fred Clarke, who came out swinging heavily in the press in 1905 when the question of mustaches was broached with his team.
It’s Time for the Colorado Rockies to Trade Carlos Gonzalez & Maximize Their Return
When it comes to being a Colorado Rockies fan, there are four guarantees in life: death, taxes, lots of runs being scored at Coors Field and Carlos Gonzalez trade rumors. The only difference now is CarGo doesn’t have the pleasure of Troy Tulowitzki joining him in those rumors because he’s already gone.
After posting a 92-70 record in 2009, the organization hoped their franchise cornerstones would help deliver winning baseball on a consistent basis in the Mile High city, but that hasn’t happened. Actually, it’s been the complete opposite – after going 83-79 in 2010, Colorado hasn’t sniffed a .500 record since.
It’s not surprising to see Colorado nearing the All-Star break with a 38-45 record. However, despite being a likely insurmountable 13.5 games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West, they’re a not-totally-crazy seven games back for the final NL Wild Card spot.
Even though they’re “technically” in the Wild Card race, getting another year of lackluster results should spur the Rockies to become sellers before the August 1 non-waiver trade deadline. It looks like the front office will eventually do that instead of fighting to earn a spot in a play-in game, according to Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post. The problem is Saunders doesn’t think Gonzalez will be one of the players they’ll deal. He also thinks the outfielder will still be on the roster in 2017. If this ends up being true, it’s a huge mistake given the circumstances.

Daily Matchups for 7/6/2016
Pitcher
STUDS
Johnny Cueto- Averaging 7 innings a start and 7.8 k per 9, and the Rockies fan at a 25% clip vs. right handlers on the road.
Sonny Gray- With DeGrom facing a Marliins team that has hit him fairly well, Gray facing a weak hitting Twins lineup puts him into consideration as one of the top options today.
MID RANGE
Jeremy Hellickson – Facing a Braves team that’s a combined 16-71 off him.
Tanner Roark – Brewers fan a ton, especially vs. RHP
VALUE
Shelby Miller – Almost anyone facing the Padres becomes an option. Arizona facing Rea gives him a shot at a win.
Michael Pineda – Been raking up the K’s after a slow start. Could make a case to flip flop Pineda and Hellickson, but Pineda was so bad early I’m considering him a value play. 6 innings with 10 K and a win could easily be reached in this one.

just have to say that Dallas Keuchel, Josh Donaldson, Troy Tulowitzki, Giancarlo Stanton and Rickie Weeks saved our bacon from a sheer butt kicking Tuesday night. Since we used such cheap pitchers, we were able to use Donaldson on 23 rosters out of 63, and liked Stanton so much we placed him on the same amount. Since we had Dallas Keuchel, it made up for longshots Carlos Rodon and Mike Foltynewicz being so poor. We almost broke even on the night.
It is another reason why the formula works. We have the link at the top of every Fanduel Article and this page. You have 30 – 63 Rosters, and you hope 2 – 3 have a chance to win on any night. The more lineups we put in with stacks being wheeled, the more times a unique player comes up on the board with little ownership, that may go off and be the difference in winning a GPP.
We like playing the $1 and $3 Sac Fly contests, because this system is situated for it. @mlbreports
Another rule of thumb is to have 10 or 12 players to have in mind for filling our rosters. 3 – 4 expensive players, 3 – 4 midlevel and 3 -4 bargains, that can be combined with the two team stacks per roster. Use the, as much as you can. If need be check the quick player replace to see how many times you have used a player once you have completed all of your lineups. Read the rest of this entry

Daily Matchups for 7/5/2016
Pitcher
STUDS
Carrasco, Price, and MadBum…… All with sketchy match ups. I’m personally fading all three, if I had to choose one, I’d go Carrasco. He’s kept the Tigers in check with exception of Miggy, but the Tigers can blow up at any time. More of a tourney play.
MID RANGE
Masahiro Tanaka– Whitesox hitting a combined .224 vs him and he’s been pretty reliable this year.
AJ Griffin– Current Sox 9-38 off him and he’s limited the HR’s this year. Sox do appear to be heating up, so there’s some risk but he could pay off nicely,
VALUE
Tim Lincecum- Rays have made a lot of below average pitchers look good this year, they K a bunch vs righties and its in the Trop. Not high upside here, but 6 innings, 2 ER with 5-6 K’s and the W is a reachable line. And his price could allow you some big bats.

10. Tom Seaver (1967-1986)

George Thomas “Tom” Seaver was nicknamed “Tom Terrific” and “The Franchise.” He pitched from 1967-1986 for 4 total teams in his career.
MLB Stats:
311 Wins
3,640 strikeouts
61 shut outs
2.86 Career ERA.
Teams:
New York Mets (1967-1977)
Cincinnati Reds (1977-1982)
New York Mets (1983)
Chicago White Sox (1984-1986)
Boston Red Sox (1986)
These numbers are amazing and in 1992 Hall of Fame voters thought so as well. Seaver was inducted by the second highest percentage ever at 98.84% of the vote. Seaver and Mike Piazza are the only 2 Mets in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown so far and Seaver and Gil Hodges are the only 2 Mets players who have had their numbers retired.
Career highlights and awards:
12x All-Star (1967-1973, 1975-1978, 1981)
1969 World Series Champion
3x NL Cy Young Award (1969, 1973, 1975)

3x NL ERA Leader (1970, 1971, 1973)
5x NL strikeout leader (1970, 1971, 1973, 1975, 1976)
No-Hitter (06/16/1978)
New York Mets Hall Of Fame
Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame
As you can see, Seaver had an established career and this is why he has made our list at Number 10.
