J. D. Martinez crushed 3 homers, driving in 6 runs as the Tigers rolled against the Yankees, 12-4.

Yasmani Grandal got 3 hits, including a pair of homers, to help the Dodgers avoid a sweep and crush the Giants 10-2.

Scott Kazmir pitched a shutout into the 8th, giving the A’s 7 1/3 innings allowing a single run in a tense 3-2 win against the Angels.

Jake Arrieta threw a complete game 4 hit shutout with no walks and 7 strikeouts, leading the Cubs past the Twins 8-0.
