Scott Kazmir allowed just 1 hit and 2 walks over 8 shutout innings as he dominated the Rangers to a 7-0 final in Oakland.

Mike Trout singled, doubled and homered, helping the Angels beat the Rays, 6-2.

David Phelps pitched 8 shutout innings, allowing just 4 hits and 1 walk and earned the 6-0 decision for the Marlins over Colorado.

Giancarlo Stanton singled and homered, driving in 4 runs and leading Miami to a 6-0 win against the Rockies.

Earning 1/2 WOBs in losing

Chi Chi Gonzalez gave the Rangers another solid outing, allowing just 1 run over 7 innings. But the Texas bats were dead and the bullpen melted down and he took the hard luck 7-0 loss to the A’s.

Julio Teheran struck out 7 in 7 innings and allowed just 3 earned runs. The game would turn into a bullpen battle and the Padres would beat Atlanta 6-4 in 11 innings.

Freddie Freeman doubled twice and hit a go ahead homer but his Braves would fall to San Diego in a strange 6-4 game.
