Anthony Rendon reached base 5 times, including a homer and 2 RBI to help the Nationals complete the sweep of the Cubs with an extra inning 7-5 win.
Anthony Santander went 5 for 5 with a homer to help the Orioles top the Rays, 8-3.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Nolan Arenado got 3 hits, including a homer, but the Rockies were pounded by the Cardinals, 11-4.
Brock Burke went 6 strong innings, holding the White Sox to 1 run. But the Rangers were blanked, 2-0.
Steven Matz held the Braves to 1 run and 2 hits over 6 innings but he took the hard luck 2-1 loss for the Mets.

John Means held the Rays to 1 run, 5 hits and no walks over 7 innings to earn the 7-1 decision for Baltimore.

Jorge Alfaro got 3 hits, including a homer, but the Marlins fell to the Phillies, 9-3.
Zac Gallen struck out 8 Brewers in 5 innings but took the hard luck 4-0 loss for Arizona.
Chad Green gave the Yankees 2 critical shutout innings allowing no hits and no walks while striking out 4 Dodgers. But their comeback came up short in the 2-1 final.

Aníbal Sánchez pitched into the 9th, allowing 1 hit and 1 run over 8 1/3 innings and even drove in a run himself to give the Nationals a 9-3 win over the Cubs.

Aristides Aquino homered and collected 2 more hits, driving in both Reds runs in the 3-2 defeat by Pittsburgh.
Kole Calhoun went 4 for 4 with a home run but the Angels came up short against Houston, 5-4.
Jacob deGrom struck out 13 Braves in 7 innings, allowing 1 run and hitting a solo homer for the Mets’ only run in a 2-1 extra inning loss.

Shin-Soo Choo reached base 5 times, scoring 3 and driving in another to help the Rangers top Detroit, 9-4.
Sonny Gray threw 7 shutout innings, holding Atlanta to 4 hits. The Reds bullpen would blow the lead but the bats would come to the rescue in extra innings for the 6-4 final.
Max Muncy went 4 for 5 with a homer and a walk off 2 run double in the bottom of the 9th to give the Dodgers a wild 11-10 victory over San Diego.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Randal Grichuk went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles but Toronto fell to Baltimore, 6-5.
Brad Keller threw 7 innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 7. But the Royals were blanked by Minnesota, 3-0.
Donovan Solano hit a pair of homers in the Giants 6-2 loss to Colorado.
Adam Wainwright pitched into the 6th innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out 7 Oakland batters but was on the wrong end of a 4-2 decision for St. Louis.

Nelson Cruz homered 3 times, driving in 5, to lead the Twins past Kansas City 11-3.
Eduardo Escobar reached base 4 times, homered twice and drove in 7 as the Diamondbacks clobbered Washington, 18-7.
Aaron Sanchez did not allow a hit in 6 shutout innings, striking out 6 Mariners. The Houston bullpen would complete the job in the 9-0 combined no hitter.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Chris Archer held the Mets to 1 run over 6 innings, striking out 6. The Pirates bullpen dropped the 7-5 final.
Miguel Cabrera singled and homered, driving in 2 and scoring 2, but the Rangers walked off on the Tigers, 5-4.
Ross Detwiler pitched into the 6th, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs over 5 2/3 innings but took the hard luck decision as the White Sox came up short against Philadelphia, 3-2.
Starling Marté went 3 for 5 with a homer, 3 RBI and 2 stolen bases in the Pirates 7-5 loss to the Mets.

Nelson Cruz reached base 4 times, including a home run, driving in 5 as the Twins took the 11-9 slug fest with Kansas City.
Eric Lauer allowed just 3 hits, 2 runs and no walks over 6 innings to earn the 5-2 decision for the Padres over the Dodgers.
Lance Lynn struck out 10 Tigers in 7 innings, giving up 1 run as the Rangers hung on for the 5-4 final.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Hunter Dozier homered twice but the Royals fell short to the Twins, 11-9.
Dillon Peters entered the game in the first inning and gave the Angels 7 2/3 innings of relief, allowing 3 runs along the way. The damage had already been done as Cleveland won, 7-3.
Roman Quinn reached base 4 times, homered, stole two bases and even pitched 2 innings out of the bullpen. Sadly, he was credited with the loss as a pitcher as the Phillies fell to the White Sox 4-3 in 15 innings.
Alex Young struck out 9 Nationals over 6 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs. He would be stuck with the hard luck 3-0 decision for Arizona.
