Let’s see owned baseball on July 27, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Gerrit Cole struck out 7 Cardinals in 7 innings, allowing 1 run and earned the 8-2 decision for Houston.

Brandon Drury with 4 for 6 with 2 homers, the second one tied the game with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to help the Blue Jays pull off a wild 10-9 comeback win against Tampa Bay in 10 innings.

Steven Matz threw a complete game 5 hit shutout, striking out 7, as the Mets blanked the Pirates, 3-0.

Will “Louisville” Smith doubled twice and homered, driving in 6 runs to help the Dodgers crush Washington, 9-3.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Jon Lester threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 5 Brewers. But the Cubs bullpen blew the lead and eventually the game in extra innings, 5-3.

Martín Pérez threw 6 strong innings, holding the White Sox to 3 runs. But the Twins lost the 5-1 game.

Sean Rodríguez went 3 for 4 with a homers and 3 runs scored but the Phillies were hammered by Atlanta, 15-7.

Gio Urshela collected 4 hits, including a homer, in the Yankees 9-5 loss in Boston..
