LAMET-PADRES

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Let’s see owned baseball on August 6, 2019

Earning Full WOBs:

Ronald Acuña Jr. reached base 4 times, homered, stole a base and scored 4 runs to help Atlanta take Minnesota, 12-7.

Jakob Junis held the Red Sox to 1 run over 6 innings to earn the 6-2 decision for Kansas City.

Dinelson Lamet took a no hitter into the 7th and finished with 12 strikeouts in 7 innings of 2 hit shutout ball as the Padres topped Seattle, 9-4.

Jorge Soler homered twice and walked twice, scoring 3 runs and added a stolen base to help the Royals beat Boston, 6-2.

Earning 1/2 WOBs:

Kris Bryant singled and homered but the A’s ambushed the Cubs, 11-4.

Nelson Cruz went 4 for 5 with 2 homers and 4 RBI but the Twins dropped the 12-7 slug fest to Atlanta.

Sam Gaviglio entered the game in the 4th and gave the Blue Jays 3 1/3 innings of 2 hit, shutout relief, striking out 3 Rays. The game would go into extra innings where the Rays walked off 7-6 on a wild pitch.

Miles Mikolas struck out 7 Dodgers in 6 1/3 innings, allowing 2 runs and 1 walk. He would be saddled with the hard luck 3-1 loss for St. Louis.
