Bryce Harper reached base 4 times, including 2 homers, as the Phillies clobbered the Cubs, 11-1.
Clayton Kershaw struck out 10 over 7 shutout innings as the Dodgers crushed Miami, 9-1.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Freddy Galvis went 4 for 5 with a homer in the Reds 17-7 pounding by Washington.
Yuli Gurriel homered twice and added another hit and a walk but the Astros bullpen collapsed late and fell to the White Sox, 13-9.
Brad Keller took a no hitter into the 7th inning. But the Cardinals bats caught up with him as the Royals were blanked, 6-0.
Steven Matz overcame early game jitters to hold the Braves to 1 run, 2 hits and 1 walk over 6 innings. He was inexplicably lifted and the Mets bullpen melted down in the 6-4 loss.

Erick Fedde held the Reds to 2 runs over 6 innings as the Nationals held on to win 7-6.
James Paxton gave the Yankees 6 strong innings in the double header opener, striking out 7 Orioles and earning the 8-5 decision.
Gleyber Torres combined for 3 homers in the Yankees double header sweep of Baltimore. In the second game, which the Yankees took 11-8, he reached base 4 times, homered twice and drove in 6 RBI.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Hanser Alberto got 5 hits over the Orioles two losses to the Yankees. In the nightcap, he went 3 for 4 with a homer but the Yankees prevailed, 11-8.
Luís Garcia retired all 3 batters he faced, striking out 2, but the Angels were pounded by the Pirates, 10-2.
Kevin Gausman threw 2 innings of shut out ball to stop the bleeding and keep the Reds in the game. Their comeback fell short against Washington, 7-6.
Trevor Story reached base 4 times, including a homer, but the Rockies dropped the 8-6 final to Arizona.

Lance Lynn struck out 10 Tigers in 7 innings, giving up 1 run as the Rangers hung on for the 5-4 final.

Hunter Dozier homered twice but the Royals fell short to the Twins, 11-9.
Dillon Peters entered the game in the first inning and gave the Angels 7 2/3 innings of relief, allowing 3 runs along the way. The damage had already been done as Cleveland won, 7-3.
Roman Quinn reached base 4 times, homered, stole two bases and even pitched 2 innings out of the bullpen. Sadly, he was credited with the loss as a pitcher as the Phillies fell to the White Sox 4-3 in 15 innings.
Alex Young struck out 9 Nationals over 6 innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs. He would be stuck with the hard luck 3-0 decision for Arizona.

Brandon Crawford collected 5 hits, 2 of them homers, and drove in 8 by himself in the double header opener which the Giants cruised to a 19-2 beating of the Rockies. He added another home run in the 2-1 nightcap.
Travis d’Arnaud homered to lead off the game, homered again later in the game and then completed the home run trio with a dramatic 3 run shot come from behind show with 2 outs in the 9th inning, driving in all of Tampa Bay’s runs in their shocking win over the Yankees.
Jakob Junis struck out 10 White Sox over 7 innings, allowing 1 run in the Royals 5-2 victory.
Miles Mikolas threw a complete game 8 hit shutout, striking out 3 Pirates and walking none to earn the 7-0 decision for St. Louis.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Kyle Hendricks pitched 5 innings, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs but did not fare in the decision as the Cubs fell to the Reds, 6-3.
Keston Hiura singled, doubled and tripled, driving in a run and stole a base for good measure but the Brewers were doubled up by the Braves, 4-2.
James Paxton allowed 2 runs over 6 innings, striking out 7 Tampa Bay batters. The Yankee bullpen would blow his lead and the 5-4 game.
