Current Odds To Win The 2014 MLB World Series + Best Value Bets

An absolutely abysmal week for predicting which teams would jump on the leaderboard for odds.

Even though I did go 4 – 6 in the weeks prognostications, I pegged the massive loss for the Rockies.

This team plummeted from a +4000 to a +10000 odd to win the Fall Classic.  I had the Indians (who skyrocketed from +8000 – +5500 by virtue of a 6 game win streak.)

The Reds also have  a +5500 odd, as oppose to +6600.

The Jays are all the way up to tied for 5th on the favorite board, going from +1600 to +850.

Baltimore, Boston and New York all took drops in odds this week that were fairly minor. Read the rest of this entry

As of right now, the Tampa Bay Rays have the worst record in the Major Leagues. That does NOT mean they are the worst team in baseball. They should not panic because the bones of a championship team in 2015 remain.

Who Owned Baseball Yesterday (June.05) – Updated MLB Yearly ‘WOB’ Standings

Madison Bumgarner pitched 8 innings of 3 hit ball, letting up a single run and walking no Reds batters. He earned his 8th victory for the Giants, 6-1.

Masahiro Tanaka cooled the hot Oakland bats with 6 innings of solid pitching, letting up a single run, as the Yankees held on to win, 2-1.

Casey McGehee went 4-5, including a double, and scored 4 runs helping the Marlins tie for first place while topping the Rays, 11-6.

Dexter Fowler got on base 4 times, scoring a pair and driving in a run, helping the Astros take a 8-5 game against the Angels.

They owned baseball on June 05, 2014.
