Let’s see owned baseball on September 26, 2019
Earning Full WOBs:
Willans Astudillo got 4 hits, including a homer, as the Twins pounded Detroit, 10-4.
Sean Manaea allowed 1 run over 6 innings, walking none and striking out 5 Mariners to earn the 3-1 decision for the A’s.
Pablo Reyes went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI as the Pirates topped the Cubs, 9-5.
Jordan Yamamoto struck out 10 Mets over 6 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, setting up Miami’s 4-2 come from behind victory.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Aristedes Aquino homered and added 2 more hits but the Reds could not stop the scorching hot Brewers, 5-3.
Félix Hernández overcame a shaky start to pitch into the 6th and give Seattle fans one last thrill in the 3-1 loss to the A’s.
Josh Reddick collected 5 hits in the Astros 4-3 extra inning defeat by the Angels.
Zack Wheeler pitched 8 strong innings, striking out 10 Marlins along the way. But he allowed critical home runs late and took the hard lick 4-2 decision for the Mets.
