Let’s see owned baseball on August 22, 2019
Earning Full WOBs:
Willy Adames went 3 for 4 with a homer and 3 RBI to power the Rays past Baltimore, 5-2.
Gerrit Cole struck out 12 Tigers over 7 shutout innings to earn the 6-3 decision for the Astros.
Kyle Hendricks threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 7, as the Cubs blanked the Giants, 1-0.
Howie Kendrick single, doubled and homered, driving in 3, as the Nationals topped the Pirates, 7-1.
Earning 1/2 WOBs:
Sandy Alcantara allowed just 1 unearned run over 7 innings, striking out 7 Braves along the way. The Marlins bullpen blew the lead and the game, 3-2.
Starlin Castro went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI but the Marlins were edged by Atlanta, 3-2.
Gleyber Torres went 4 for 4 with 2 homers in the Yankees 5-3 loss in Oakland.
Jacob Waguespack tossed 7 innings of 1 hit shutout ball, striking out 5 Dodgers, but the Blue Jays bullpen dropped the 3-2 final.
